Help with a air Sha

May 25, 2008 15:50:13 Hey guys I am working on a “Air” Sha’ir from the dragon compendium. This is a arcane Caster(with the ability to pick up some divine spells) with a gen familiar. I’m a changling with the stats of 9,14,18,12,16,12. Also the DM has set it up that I have a air elemental ancestor. So I was thinking of taking the air elemental ancestor feet from the DC to.
I am torn between going also as a cleric with air and travel domains taking the travel and Air devotion feat and then MT or going Shugenja with an air focus then MT. Or the Sha’ir with elemental savant. But this are some ideas so if there’s any others ideas that be nice class combos, feats, spells or even things that will increases my air gen familiar thanks guys.

May 27, 2008 21:31:38 3.5's Elemental Savant got gimped by forcing you to cast all energy spells to do electric damage.

May 27, 2008 21:52:41 I was looking at the sumoner tipes on other parts of the bord, thinking that would not be a bad way to go as I will get to sumon genies with the Sha'ir class. Any thoughts?

May 29, 2008 19:39:46 I'm wondering... Wouldn't the Mystic Wanderer (MoF) improve your familiar? It should be available as you can cast divine spells, and it offers a nice way to patch your probably low AC. You might want to consider it.

For summoning, hmm. The malconvoker is good, but I'm not exactly a great fan of the idea. How about the DMG thaumaturgist, btw? Shairs are already good diplomancers, and planar conjurations are just their thing.
