| #1madtitanfanOct 26, 2008 13:51:06 | Right Now i am playing a Bard in a Bard that doesn't have any other Arcane Caster, the Rest is as Follows, Hum Fighter (2 Handed), Monk, Halfling Thief, Dwarf Cleric. We are about to hit 6th Level , i need a Feat that I could have taken at lvl 3, as i am re training that Feat, and most likely Taking Lyric Spell at 6 for my normal one. Feats i Have now/ Artist Melodic Casting (Flaw Feat) Feat I am re training Incase it matters right now the plan is 6 Bard/4 Lyric Thaurmaturge/ ?Sublime Cord After that havent thought about it. Stats are: Str 10 Dex 16 Con 12 Int 15 Wis 11 Cha 20 I can Delay Lyric Spell if there is a really good 2 Feat combo to take, but i wanted to take Chaos Music at 9th Lvl to get Inspire Greatness, also not taking Words of Creation, as the Gm would make it to Difficult. |

Bard 6/ Lyric Thaumaturge 5/ Sublime Chord 7 I took LT 5 for the Sonic Might ability. It's too good to pass up as you can expend any amount of bardic music per day to power a sonic descriptor spell. Here are my feats: 1 Extra Music 3 Snowflake Wardance 6 Melodic Casting (must have) 9 Leadership 12 Song of the Heart (Eberron, +1 to inspire courage etc) 15 Subsonics 18 Words of Creation (BoED) Bonus: Captivating Melody |

Delaying Sublime Cord a lvl might be worth it, because right now we have little way of deal AOE damage and our Monk and Fight get swarmed pretty easily. I toss out a Glitterdust and our GM just rolls better ![]() Versatile Spellcaster is a good one i hadn't thought about that, it would help make up for my limited Spells per Day. |

You definitely want Song of the Heart, as well, at least until you reach Sublime Chord, to help with the to-hit. Don't worry too much about more DPS, as the rolls can't statistically keep going the DM's way. You can get Dragonfire Inspiration to help with the damage, but it won't help unless you can land the attacks. The trouble with Lyric Thaumaturge is that it only advances Bard spellcasting, so you'd have to finish Sublime Chord, which is sort of dead, or pick up another PrC, such as Virtuoso. Bard 6/Lyric Thaumaturge 3/Virtuoso 1/SC 2/Virtuoso +8. |
