Help with epic leadership character

Mar 15, 2009 23:45:41 So my dm was forced into a crazy epic level campaign and wants me to make a character using leadership. Problem is im new to leadership feat.

My reasources are limited to:
complete warrior, PHB, DMG, and heros of battle.

What i want:
I'd like my character to be a "pirate king," baisicly someone who comands a fleat of ships that pillages and plunders cities. I'de also like my character if at all posssible be a decent melee combatant. (i may be abel to get complete scoundrel before we start so i can go dread pirate, but that can only happen if my local game shop has it! but chances are low they do)

Starting level is 24, and my stats are 18 17 16 15 14 12 (yea i lucked out on rolls) they can be distributed in any way.

I would also like to note my dm gave me an inn with a dock because im not allowed to have all my followers with me.

Mar 16, 2009 3:49:16 If you can go dread pirate, then you can really get a huge load of followers.
leadership+dread pirate lvl 10 ability+extra followers=ultimate sea scoundrel!
note:dread pirate is complete adventurer, not scoundrel.
I made a list of stuff that improves leadership or gains you something akin to it.
Dread pirate level 10: gains followers like he had the leadership feat.
Improved cohort: increases the maximum level of your cohort to 1 level beneath you ECL (instead of 2)
extra followers: doubles your amount of followers.

i think thats all that directly boosts your leadership (when your restricted to those books). you should definitely take improved cohort and extra followers if you wanna be a leadership based character

Mar 16, 2009 13:20:28 He could take Epic Leadership too, of course. The easy way to break epic games is to take Epic Leadership and have a bunch of spellcasting followers that can participate in ritual epic spells to bring the DCs down. You could have a sorcerer or wizard cohort to abuse this, and still stick with your Dread Pirate PC.

Mar 16, 2009 15:07:44 Does leadership allow you to have both cohorts and followers? because i was under the impression you have to pick one and does pirate king stack with leadership and if it doesn't will it quilfy me for epic leadership?

Yes, you get both cohorts and followers.
