| #1maica22010Feb 22, 2009 23:50:07 | So after about 4 years of playing mages(since I started playing the game) I decided to play a weapon based melee class (as in not monk) instead of a spellcaster and I've decided to go frenzied berserker so currently my levels are going to be 4 barb(whirling frenzy variant) 2 fighter and then into frenzied. I'm looking into Steadfast Determination to make the will save to end frenzy and the race will be orc since it dosent have a la or racial hit dice. Now the problems that I have. I'd like to find an easier way to pass the will save without taking the two feats(for steadfast). I would like to know if there is a way to get a higher strength bonus or a con bonus(don't get a con boost for whirling frenzy variant). I need to get my stats as high as possible since I am on a 32 pt buy for stats(so they suck right now) and it's a lvl 4 campaign so I only have 5400gp to work with, and from what I've heard it's heavily combat based and run with people who are very used to optimizing(which I've never done). We also dont have any kind of healer so I have to cover that with a belt of healing but if I frenzy then I cant use it so I need a way to get around that. Wow when I actually type it out it looks like I havent even thought about it at all. |

(two last lines in description) So with frenzied berserker common rage is better and it gives will bonus too. As frenzied berserker you must hit DC20 will save or somebody is going to die every time you frenzy, which is bad. So you need +18 will save and it is not easy to get that high save at level 6. You need every bonus you can get. Frenzied berserked prerequisistes allready take most of your feats so... Half Orc Barbarian1, Half Orc Paragon3, Fighter2, Duskblade1, Frenzied BerserkerX Lion totem variant from complete champion Lvl1: Channeled Rage(races of destiny) Lvl3: Destructive rage Fighter1: Power Attack Fighter2: Cleave Lvl6: Intimidating Rage Lvl9: Extra Rage After that maybe some luck reroll feat.... will:3base+2rage+1wis+1(cloak of resistance+1)+11str(channeled rage)=18 17+2race+2paragon+1lvl 12 14 13-2race 12 8-2race At level 7 when you get first frenzied berserker level you can frenzy 1/day and you have 2 barbarian rages, so you can frenzy+rage 1/day and use second rage to end that frenzy. At level 9 you get second frenzy and extra rage gives you enough rages to use with frenzys and end them. |

Work if you can convince your DM than using Iron Heart Surge to get rid of Frenzy is best way to attack your enemies... |

Iron Heart Surge is level 3 manouver so it requires iniator level5, if you want that your 7th level is frenzied berserker you need at least 4 warblade levels to get it before that. Duskblade is in build only because of full bab and high will save |
