Ok I playing a gestalt game...there are no muticlass penalties, and dual classes are only not allowed if they are dual caster classes ( therge )

Ok so have two main ideas

Wizard 5, Abjurant Champion 5, Incantrix 10 on one side //

Warblade 5, Monk 2( Kung Fu Genius ), Barbarian 1 ( Lion Totem ), Fighter 4 ( For weapon Spec and some feats ), 8 Warblade

My goal would be to use instant metamagic to persistant shapchange each day....haven't decided on weapon, but with warblade I can switch weapon as I choose

Gets +20BAB 20CL Good saves all around Evasion, Int to AC, pounce and 16IL

Option 2 is

Wizard 5, Incantrix 10, Archmage5 // War 10,Barbarian 1(Lion Totem) Swordsage 2(kung fu genius),Feat Rogue 3, Fighter 4

Gets 18BAB and int to ac in armor...otherwise the same.

Opinions? Changes to suggest?

I like it subing monk for dwarf and runesmith as far as design....but It takes away from the stealth abilities a bit too much for my likeing...plate and all ( I do realize that inivisability is better than sneak...but I like natural stealth )

let me do a quick rundown

my char has a 18 for int and dex

so in +5 mithril plate with +5large steel shield with 3 to ac from dex

gives us 33 AC and 23 touch AC

With dex and int to ac possibility of +5 inherent bonus for 23 in each ( +6 mods, +12 ac from ) Plus +5 mithril chain shirt (9ac )

31AC total and 22 touch ac

I like the second better for comfort skills and play style

Plus in one of these builds I proposed shield spell can be cast for an additional 9 AC 41AC and 32 vs touch

or with luninous...or greater luminous and shield spell...but minus armor

11AC from luminous ( abjurant champ ) 9AC from shield (ab champ ) 6 Dex 6 Int +1monk ac 43AC and 43 ac vs touch

Mithral breastplate is actually preferable. Runesmith was just for kicks really. On second thought:
Wiz 5/ Inc 10/ Mindbender 1/ Spellsword 1/ Dragonslayer 1/Sacred Exorcist 1 / Loremaster 1// Warblade 3/ LT Barb 1/ Ftr 1/ Warblade +14/ Monk 2

Obviously out of order.

Suggestions on the fighting side:
1) Higher level maneuvers will help more than most other things, so consider just taking lots more warblade. You'll miss out on some feats, but you'll get a lot more back - warblade class features are good for high int characters as well.

In particular, get 17 IL. 9th level strikes are amazing in melee. Time Stands Still in particular shouldn't be missed.

2) Take two levels of fighter maximum. Two more higher level maneuvers, 2 HP, 4 skill points and a higher warblade class feature heavily outweighs a single feat.

2b) Take psychic warrior 2 instead if fighter 2 instead if possible. Organised against levels that leave you with full BAB.

3) Weapon spec is suboptimal even if you go for extra feats.

Build stuff: Lion totem barbarian is great, and doesn't mix with monk for alignment. If you can take Kung Fu genius with Swordsage 2 - do it. Some of those early SS-only maneuvers are great.

Summary fighter side:
Warblade 5 / PsychWar 1 / SS (Kung Fu) 2 / Barb (Lion Totem) 1 / Warblade 11
gives (if the other side is full spellcasting and has BAB+1 at level 6) 18 IL, 2 9th level strikes, Battle mastery.

Battle mastery also stacks beautifully with Robilar's Gambit. Your AoOs have higher bonuses than you're giving opponents.

Something that would be nice if you could fit in there. A lot of maneuvers are standard action to activate. That leaves you with a move action that isn't doing much for you on rounds where you are already in close range. If you took some more Spellsword, at least to SS4, alternating with Wiz/caster on the other side to keep full casting, you can channel a spell with that move action and then make a strike with your standard. This would be useful for things like Strike of Perfect Clarity and Diamond Nightmare Blade (hmmm, would a spell get multiplied by DNB? 4x a Disintegrate? Ouchies.....)

Just a thought I came up with while reading this thread. Then again, most Gishes benefit from Full Attacking as much as possible, but its still an idea.

Any thoughts on weapon use or discipline focus? I'd assume Diamond Mind for the concentration synergy, but TWF would synergize well with Arcane Strike and Tiger Claw maneuvers, while a 2hander would be better with Iron Heart and Power Attack. Any feedback on either of those ideas?

Hmm well I was thinking of either using the staff as a double weapong ( with daggers for backup) or perhaps using a greatsword.

But I sort of like the latter idea best...willing to adjust on that though...character is only 3//3 at this moment.

Using pounce and going all darth maul seems cool to me...so do daggers ( loved them since tin-tin in the crow )

Course greatsword is probably the optimal damage choice.

If you want to do something fun, yet silly, yet somewhat stylish, get EWP: 2-bladed Sword, Weapon Focus, Weapon Spec (you qualify with 6 Warblade instead of 4 Fighter), and the TWF chain. You then qualify for the Exotic Weapon Master class, so you can take 1 level to get the Flurry of Strikes ability, which gives you yet another attack per round. Now, you get the most mileage out of your Arcane Strike when you use Raging/Rabid Mongoose with full WTF with a doubleblade sword. Later in life, you can even take Melee Weapon Mastery (slashing) and Slashing Fury both from PHBII for yet another attack per round. Add haste and by like, level 15 you'll be making ~9ish attacks per round, or 13 with Rabid Mongoose, all of which benefit from Arcane Strike and maybe even Knowledge Devotion.

Or just use a greatsword and take useful feats....either way you are combining win with win, so you shouldn't have any troubles.
