| #1_thelight_Feb 09, 2010 1:07:13 | Build completely overhauled because paladin sux, but I'm still working with the Holy Warrior theme. Now the build has Favored Soul for charisma based spell-casting, sacred exorcist to gain turning attempts, and crusader for lots of tactical possibilities/lockdown. All books allowed except campaign specific, third party, and no flaws. Human. 32 Point Buy - 14+2 STR, 14 DEX, 14 CON, 12 INT, 8 WIS, 16 + 3 CHA. Patron Deity is Heironeous. LVL1: Crusader 1 - Stone Power, Extra Granted Maneuver [Human] LVL2: Favored Soul 1 LVL3: FS 2 - Stand Still LVL4: FS 3 - Weapon Focus (Longsword) [FS] LVL5: FS 4 LVL6: Church Inquisitor 1 - Combat Reflexes LVL7: Ordainced Champion 1 - Practiced Spellcaster [Sacrifice Inquisition power] LVL8: Crusader 2 LVL9: OrCh 2 - Travel Devotion LVL10: OrCh 3 LVL11: Sacred Exorcist 1 LVL12: OrCh 4 - Divine Might LVL13: ChIn 2 LVL14: ChIn 3 LVL15: ChIn 4 - Robilar's Gambit LVL16: Crusader 3 LVL17: Crusader 4 - LVL18: Crusader 5 - Defensive Sweep LVL19: ChIn 5 LVL20: ChIn 6 Maneuvers: Martial Spirit stance, Shield Block, Stone Bones, Leading The Attack, Battle Leader's Charge, Foehammer, Thicket of Blades [Cr 2], Divine Surge [Cr 3], Radiant Charge [Cr 4, retrain Stone Bones], Rallying Strike [Cr 5]. Quick Summary - Much more versatile and efficient than the former build. He can cast up to 6th level spells. He has immunity to charms/compulsions and gets an immediate will save (pretty high) once he sees an illusion. He expends turn attemps on Divine Might and Travel Devotion to move his speed as a swift action. Please help me improve this idea. I really like the divine crusader/ordained chapmion synergy but I feel I've overlooked a lot in the process. |

Righteous, neither very wise nor intelligent (even going so far as to not have a listed INT score), but a melee beast. I love lawful stupid! Sorry, just wanted to point that out in a funny way. In fact, Miko frustrates me, but even stereotypically dumbly roleplayed Half-Orcs are funny at some points. Crusader'd be cool too, no? Stone Power is treated as Power Attack? In fact, not a charger, but some lockdown beast. I hear a lot of this "Thicket of Blades" thing from ToB. Spiked Chain, Knockback feat, etc. Hellreaver. Wasn't there some way to break that class? Ruby Knight Vindicator? Reference(s): The Order of the Stick - Issue #200 - www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0200.html |
| #3_thelight_Feb 09, 2010 8:32:48 | Human. 32 Point Buy - 16+2 STR, 10 DEX, 14 CON, 8 WIS, 16 + 3 CHA. Patron Deity is Heironeous. I fixed it :P RKV requires worshipping Wee Jas to qualify, but I already worship Heironeous to qualify for Ordained Champion. So it would have to be one or the other and I know very little about ToB. Hellreaver looks interesting. I could go paladin of freedom with even a one level dip and get immunity to both fear and compulsions... |

| #5NiteCyperFeb 10, 2010 0:50:23 | Links from the Surrealdex and my brain (theoretically). I don't know about the latter. [-0800 12/02/2010 Fri 16:33:44] The link, the latter link! :P Again, it seems to be TWF rather than charger/bull-rusher. Again as in I posted another tangential idea that consisted of the "lockdown" strategy.
