I know the response will invariably be "If you are making a soulknife throw it away and start over", but I want to make a soulknife because I like the flavor of it, and I love that it combines easily with my other favorite class, the monk, with the feats talashatora, and flowing blade.

I am trying to find a race that has either favored class any, favored class monk, or favored class soul knife to help in this build, as well as any other meshes for these two classes, including feats or that kind of thing.

I like the blade dancer prc and I can use it because my dm house ruled I could take it with the ability to cast psionics instead of arcane or divine spells.

Have you checked the Soulknife Handbook?

Nay, one should not throw away a soulknife build.

The Soulknife should be torn up in to little pieces with an Enron-grade paper shredder, burned, then the ashes turned into compost in order to feed our little green oxygen producing friends.

Only then can the soulknife build actually be useful for something.

Not very good with Soulknives myself but I know in Weapons of Legacy there's a weapon called Mau-Jehe which can be used as a mind blade and in fact your own mindblade properties stack with Mau-Jehe's Properties.

the Soulknife is an interesting class that can be optimized .... it just that most dont want to spend the time to work on it

first some questions:

what is the start level
what books allowed
how much money to spend on character
what is the point buy
etc.....

the more info you give the more we can help

As of now I am level 7 soulknife/level 2 monk/level 3 blade dancer (from oriental adventures) and I with vow of poverty I have:

24 str
18 dex
20 con
14 int
16 wis
13 cha

The DM allowed the ability to manifest psionics to also allow me to qualify for blade dancer which normally requires casting arcane or divine spells so I can move 80 feet because the dm allowed me to permanize longstrider and jump so I have around +50 to jump with the blade dancer class. I want at least blade dancer 7, but that leaves 4 levels I need to fill and close to 3 feats I need.

I took the two alternative class features out of minds eye (bonus feats and hidden talent) so I have 2 bonus feats at this level and tashalatora (I think that is how it is spelled, the monk and psionic class feat) and the spring attack are necessary, because I love running past an enemy and out of it's reach while attacking it.

Blade Dancer is Awesome for a Soulknife .... keep advancing that class ... i would say try this:

Monk 2/ Soulknife 11/ Blade Dancer 7

not in that order

BAB +16

feats:
Monastic Training(monk Bonus)
Flowing Blade(monk Bonus)
Tashalatora(Soulknife)(Soulknife bonus)
Practiced Mindblade(Soulknife bonus)
Mind Dagger(Soulknife bonus)
Weapon Focus(Mindblade)(Soulknife bonus)
Wildtalent(Soulknife bonus)
Greater Weapon Focus (mind blade)(Soulknife bonus)
Dodge(human Bonus)
1st lvl: Mobility
3rd lvl: Combat Reflexes
6th lvl: Elusive Target
9th lvl: Spring Attack
12th lvl: Adamantine Mindblade
15th lvl: Strategic Reassignment
18th lvl: Robilars Gambit

If I were you I would not get any more Blade dancer than what you have and if you can reduce it down to just 1 lvl since it wont stack with the Tashalatora feat.
Kalashtar the race ( I think that is what they are called ) from Ebberron is a good choice they have some nice Soulknife feats and sub levels.
If you are allowed Dragon magazine material, there are some feats to be found there as well, in particular one that works kinda like practiced manifester for your soulknife.

I hope that helps.

The reason I can't be kalashtar is because if I have level 2 monk and level 7 soulknife (which I currently have) then I would need something with favored class monk or soulknife or I would take exp penalties.

Hm? Talashatora adds monk as a favored class, aint that right?

Tashalatora doesn't do that. Neither does monastic training, I went back and re-read both.

just my opinion here but I have always liked the soulknife because it reminded me of a jedi. That being said if you break the class downits a 3/4 bab w/ a magic weapon. A fighter of same level w/ a magic sword comp for his level will be equal on many levels and superior in others. I like the feel of the class but as I have in the past I would only dip into the soulknife to level n and then go elsewhere to cont build. In and of itself run solo I would say the pc would be kinda blah. A melee combatant w/ no buffing ability, limited range and having to regain focus is a pain in the arse. I would say I had fun w/ the deep impact (ignore armor) with a two handed power attack.

over all a good vibe but sub-optimal

to explain the Build:

"Monk 2/ Soulknife 11/ Blade Dancer 7 .... not in that order"
because you are using Tashalatora.... the Monk and Soulknife levels are combined for certain Monk Class abilities... most important: Flurry of Blows... this gives you 2 additional attacks with no Penalty at all as a Monk 13th. i would really like to have all ten levels of Blade Dancer, but dont want to lose out on Evasion nor Mindblade abilities .... since you are using the two alternative class features out of minds eye (bonus feats and hidden talent) this is a great exit point... since it gives additional Feats

i had to redo the feats... since i missed the part about the VOP... here is the corrected version:..... changes bolded

feats:
Monastic Training(monk Bonus)
Flowing Blade(monk Bonus)
Tashalatora(Soulknife)(Soulknife bonus)
Adamantine Mindblade(Soulknife bonus)
Strategic Reassignment(Soulknife bonus)
Weapon Focus(Mindblade)(Soulknife bonus)
Wildtalent(Soulknife bonus)
Greater Weapon Focus (mind blade)(Soulknife bonus)
Dodge(human Bonus)
Bonus Exalted Feats from VOP:
Servant of the Heavens
Nymph’s Kiss
Gift of Faith
Nimbus of Light
Touch of Golden Ice
1st lvl: Mobility
3rd lvl: Sacred Vow
6th lvl: Vow of Poverty
9th lvl: Spring Attack
12th lvl: Combat Reflexes
15th lvl: Elusive Target
18th lvl: Robilars Gambit

will get to more later

Where is elusive target from?

Elusive Target[Tactical](CWar p110)reqs: Base Attack Bonus +6, Dexterity 13, Dodge, Mobility
You may use the following 3 tactical maneuvers:
Negate Power Attack – If the opponent that you have chosen to use your Dodge against uses Power Attack on you, he/she still takes the penalty on the attack, but does not gain the bonus on the damage.
Diverting Defense – If you are flanked and have chosen one of the flankers as your Dodge opponent, that opponent’s first attack on you each round actually target’s the other flanker, who is considered Flat-Footed. Any additional attacks that round are treated normally.
Cause Overreach – If you provoke an Attack of Opportunity by moving out of a threatened hex and your opponent misses, you receive an automatic Trip attempt against the foe. If the Trip attempt misses, your opponent does not get an attempt to trip you.
just one question ... is there any particular reason, you are taking Sacred Vow and VoP NOT @ lvl 1 and move dodge/mobility to 3/6??

afaik the Entry in to blade dancer is not possible before lvl 9(or 10, depending on point of view) so you only need those feats than ... whereas taking VoP @ lvl 1 wins you one feat and more skillpoints out of nymph's kiss
