I wanted to make a pyrokineticist melee damage dealer and got stuck at my last 5 levels

I came up with Human ninja5/pyrokineticist10 then drew a blank were to go from there.

nin1 weapon prof. greatsword, dodge
nin2
nin3 wild talent
nin4
nin5
pyro1 combat expertise
pyro2
pyro3
pyro4
pyro6 combat reflexes
pyro7
pyro8
pyro9 karmic strike
pyro10

this is what ive come up with so far, i would really like to take a class with a full bab, and was thinking ronin so i can get more sneak attack, but that would require bastard sword instead of greatswork wich isnt a big deal, but then i would like to go with twf.

Your Flame Lash can be used with any feat that can be used with a standard whip, such as Power Attack, Leap Attack, Cleave, etc. You can also use Point Blank Shot to always get +1 to hit and damage with it. Also note that any bonus damage you get, such as from Power Attack or Sneak Attack, is dealt as the same type of damage as the weapon, in this case fire damage. You don't really have much reason to take any more than one level of Pyrokineticist, 2-10 don't really offer anything worth spending the levels on. If you're starting out Ninja you'll probably be playing a sneaky-type skills-based character, but then Pyrokineticist only gets 2 skill points/level with almost none of the same class skills, your build has no focus. Grab just one Pyrokineticist level and spend the rest on class levels that will better benefit whatever primary focus you pick for the character.

Pyrokineticist is usually taken for several reasons:

1)Flame lash ....... Ranged touch Attack ... that you can PA with

2)Weapon Afire.... boost Weapon Damage... 2 lvl Dip or 8 lvl investment

3)Fire themed Build .... usually 9 lvl investment

when taken to boost damage output... you need to focus on how you do Damage.

if your character can Fly..... Flyby Attack + Skirmish/Sudden Strike/Sneak Attack + Fire bolt = Win

for ground movement... Charge + Pounce + Leap Attack + PA + Shocktrooper + Flame Lash = Win..... but you need 1 level of Exotic Weapon Master(Close-Quarters Ranged Combat, Exotic Weapon Stunt) to be effective

no matter how you do it ..... as NateNate said ... you dont need all 10 levels of Pyrokineticist.... the only time you might, is with Monk + Tashalatora to gain greater Flurry and Boost Unarmed Damage and AC

i would say ... try this:

Human

Monk(Overwhelming Attack style) 2/ Fighter 2/ Barbarian (lion Totem: Complete Champion)(with Whirling Frenzy) 1/ Pyrokineticist 4/ Exotic Weapon Master 1

Feats:
Wild Talent(Human Bonus)
Imp Unarmed Strike(Monk Bonus)
Power Attack(monk Bonus)
Imp Bull Rush(monk Bonus)
Exotic Weapon(Whip)(Fighter Bonus)
Weapon Focus(Whip)(Fighter Bonus)

1st lvl: Point blank Shot
3rd lvl: Leap Attack
6th lvl: Combat Reflexes
9th lvl: Shocktrooper

you should be able to Charge + Leap attack and switch penalty to AC instead of Attack.... to gain Full Attack + x6 to Bonus Damage(Fire Lash 2 handed) making all Ranged Touch Attacks

Thanks this really helps, i was only investing lvls in ninja to get the skill points i needed to get into pyro as fast as possible and the was really only goin for greater weapon afire witch i was thinkin would be similar to sneak attack. but works all the time and on monsters immune to crit, hopefully giveing me more versatility.

Thanks a bunch and i see what your saying.

If you aren't attached to the fire part, see if you can convince your DM to either let you make an acetokineticist or a sonokineticist. Neither of those would get the elemental damage resisted nearly as much, unless he was picking monsters specifically to be difficult for your type of damage to beat. You would either get -1 damage per die (aceto) or one size smaller die (sono), but because fire is so cool, just about everything has resistance to it, since it is expected many people would pick flaming over just about anything else.

I want to try playing that pixie pyro build sometime, or at least something close to it, sounds like fun, greater invisibility and a DC31 Save-or-die.

I am making a pyro, and the Inferna Draxo build looks to optimize the huge charisma a char should have to play a pyro, but there is one thing I don't understand.
The whole shatter thing, to get unlimited heat deaths...? I don't know what this is refering to, does it mean to shatter an item, from the warlocks baleful utterance? And if so, how would that let you use the Heat Death ability without limit?

Heat Death can already be used without limit.  It's only requirements to use are expending your psionic focus and  taking a full-round action with no daily limits.

The interesting thing is that creatures immune to fire are not immune to the heat death.  Burn away, and bonus points for overheating fire elementals.

Thanks for the response Snakerman830. ^^
So how is shatter relevant to the ability? Or am I reading it and just making a connection in my head that isn't there? XD
Also, how does one become Pyrokineticist without taking a level as a base psionic class first? Is there a way to get the one power point reserve without having class levels as a psionic?

Sorry for my noob-ness, Im a magic player just getting into D&D.

Shatter isn't really connected.  Closest you get is that it's somewhat like a save or die for objects and is also useable at-will.

Wild Talent is a feat that can be taken by anyone and gives them a power point reserve of 2 power points (or adds 2 if they already have one, although there are better feats to do that).

On the subject of the Flame Lash that was mentioned above.  I wouldnt do that.  I would go and somehow get the spell 'Flame Whips' added to you, or a magic item.  Its a spell that lets your arms turn into 2 flaming whips each doing 6d6 damage each for a total of 12d6 damage.  If you can get that spell added to a magic item and meta magic'd the heck out of it, you could easily pull nearly a 200 Damage out of the spell, gives you a 15ft range as well.  As I can see right now there is no Saving throw or spell resistence to the spell.  In adition the spell replaces your arms and hands with the whips, and you get to make 2 melee touch attacks ........Woooooooo. .

The flame lash might do less damage, but there's something to say about never spending resources on creating it.  Also, unlike the spell, it can specifically be used in any way a normal whip can, which includes Magic Weapon, Weapon Alame, Power Attack, iteritive attacks, etc.

6d6 twice per round is nice.  1d8+4d6+Str three times is better, and that's before any buffs.

Is there any way to exponentially increase the Fort Save for Heat Death, other than increasing your Charisma. Are there any feats to specialize in it other than Ability Focus, which does NOT stack?

I don't know of any feats that could do it except perhaps Corrupt Spell-like ability + Malign spell Focus, but that only works 3/day (although those 3/day do half of the damage on a successful save as unholy damage).

The Veil of Allure from MIC boosts all of your Cha-based save DC's by 2, but doesn't increase your charisma score, so it stacks..
