I am starting a new 3.5 Greyhawk campaign in the next couple of weeks and have decided on cleric. I've read through every cleric build related thing I could find on these boards and while I don't think I will be lacking in power for it, some of the normal cheese is not possible. The most important thing is playability at every level from 1-the middle teens. I want to keep full Spellcasting if possible. Good needs to be part of alignment. I can not use: Spell Compendium any Forgotten Realms Source (weep at loss of elf domain) any Ebberon Source any Dungeon or Dragon magizine Divine metamagic will be allowed... Divine spellpower has been abused and won't be allowed. I have acces to the DM's complete 3.5 library so all core/splat besides the above are accessable. Stats are high powered and simple: Everyone has +10 total ability modifiers. Half abilility scores are odd/ half are even No ability modifier can be negative. Example: STR 14 +2 DEX 11 CON 13 +1 INT 10 WIS 18 +4 CHA 17 +3 Mods add to ten... half are even... none are negative. Feel free to recommend placement. Precise shot is an early priority for me and greatbow is tempting but can't be used from horseback. I usually have a ton of bizzare ideas then focus in from there looking for problems. Ideas so far: Half-Orc using the old Orc shot put and focusing on str and wis (zen archery applies to all ranged and thrown get str to damage) Far shot/ distance and a returning shot-put asap. Undecided on Diety and Domains. Also, If Im reading right since the shotput is large my medium half-orc would get a -2 to attacks with it unless he used both hands. This still has the big advantage of not having to carry two bows for buffed and unbuffed. Human or Elf Cleric of Fharlanghn Luck and Travel Domains... Longbow (or possibly greatbow). This would be headed for Contemplative for a 1 level dip at 11th. Human Cleric of Phaulkon Air and War (gives both prof and focus but is pretty lame otherwise) Gives me a bow and leaves both feats free (one would probably go to precise shot). Elf Cleric of Labelas Enoreth (Deities & Demigods) For Elf and Time domains both fantastic. The problem is the FR restriction. I don't have Deities & Demigods on hand but I doubt the Elf domain is listed next to it. The shot-put idea is growing on me now that I write it down. Any downers to this I am missing?
