I'm not going with spellcasting on this one: it's going to be a cohort. I want something that has some skills, excellent survivability, and reliable decent damage.

Starting level 5th, race is a custom one: Deep Halfling, a halfling with Darkvision 60, no save bonus vs. fear. Strongheart halfling is unavailable in this variant.

The party is a Lesser Drow Archivist with an Ogre Zombie, and a (Goblin Defense Fund) Goblin Sorcerer.

25 point buy. This is my initial attempt.
12/18/14, 10/16/7. Stat bonuses go to Wisdom.
1- Moon-Warded Ranger: trapfinding variant, Point Blank Shot
2- Soulknife: Weapon Focus (Mindblade), Wild Talent
3- Fighter (Targetteer): Psionic Shot, Targetteer ability: Vital Aim
4- Soulknife: Throw Mind Blade
5- Moon-Warded Ranger: Armor of the Senses, Wis to AC

Skills at the starting level:
+10 Autohypnosis VIII
+3 Climb [+2 racial]
+7 Concentration V
+5 Disable Device V
+10 Hide VI
+3 Jump [+2 racial]
+5 Listen [+2 racial]
+12 Move Silently VI [+2 racial]
+5 Search V
+8 Spot V

The continuation is in Soulbow; with the first level there we achieve Wis to damage. We now have Wis+Dex to AC, and Wis+Dex to damage. From here we make a beeline for Combat Meditation, Fell Shot, and Manyshot. They are all online at 9th level.

Books allowed: no ToB, no Eberron, I can negotiate for other things but nothing remotely cheesy will make it in. The DM is kind of strict.

How should I advance the character once she starts dropping Fell Manyshots all over the place? And is there a more efficient way to get there, I mean with as high an AC/save/Spot?

I thought of Warmind, Psicrystal Affinity+Containment to tack on Greater Psionic Shot, but that deploys too slowly for my taste.

Where's Zen Archery? (Wis to Attack, CW 105)

It's a later pick, once enough resources have been put into Wisdom by means of items, level increases, and Wishes. Early on it doesn't give much of a return. Dumping Dex loses Manyshot, and that's an important piece.

Besides, Dex is a nice stat. Honestly down the road I think the feat that adds Wis to init would be better than Zen Archery.

I know I did title this "Wis-synergy" but it's more of a two-stat build.

No ToB unfortunately...

If moon-warded ranger wis to AC ability says that it works like the monk ability and you are trading your combat style for it, then you don't need to take those levels, just get a monks belt and take those 2 lvls in another class

Moon-warded ranger allows shields and light armor.
