Heroes campaign: Sylar build

Jan 07, 2009 16:19:04 hi guys, me and my friends are strting a brief campaing based on the Heroes' characters.
We realized, Hiro Nakamura(Nomad Build), Claire Bennet(Troll Bloodline Egoist Build), Matt Parkman(Telepath Build).
The character I choose to role is Sylar, the bad guy.
the first thing that comes to my mind is to Metamorph in a greater doppelganger and use Metamorphic transfert feat.

The Question is:
Do the bonuses granted by Doppelganger Ability, last "forever" even if Metamorphosis expires? If yes, can you tell me why (I need a reasonable explanation to bring at my Game Master's table :D )

Jan 07, 2009 16:55:39 It could certainly be ruled that you loose the ability once you drop the form. But the argument for being able to keep abilities is that Consume Identity gives you the ability to absorb an opponent's mind, and once absorbed it is retained regardless of whether you still have the ability to absorb more minds. But given the way the ability is written up, I wouldn't count on this flying.

It transitions to 3.5 very easily, and its basically exactly what you want. If you can find it I'd use it.

Jan 07, 2009 20:22:37 Any non-updated 3.0 bookis technically valid for 3.5 play. I'm pretty sure Savage Species has had the update treatment, though. It's probably on the Wizards site somewhere.

That said, Illithid Savant is a most for the brain-eater build... (who runs around in the form of a human of course)

If no one is an Illithid Savant, I'd love to join and break the hell outta the campaign with that class :P
