So I have my heart set on a Hexblade Who uses the Most out of his CHA by striking fear in the heart of his opponents and I was thinking Hexblade5\Abjurant Champion5\Nightmare Spinner5\???

Now is there any way to make this viable

We are playing 3.5 starting level 4 i plan on playing a half-elf with 1 flaw and the allowed for sure books are

Arms and Equipment Guide

Dungeon Masters Guide

Complete: Warrior, Psionic, Adventurer, arcane, Mage, Divine

Unearth Arcana, Hordes of the Abyss, Spell Compendium, Book of Exalted Deeds, Expanded Psionic Handbook, Master of the Wild

Anything else is subject to his approval

though I am allowed to take Dark companion instead of the familiar at lvl 4 and i can use Mike Mearls change allowing me to cast mutiple curses a day and i plan on using daunting presence as my flaw feat and have already been told no on Dreadful Wrath so any help on making my Hexblade the master of fear would be helpful

This is the Fear Handbook. It should help.

With the Mearls mods, you'd be better suited to single-classed hexblade, as the curse is worth using there. Hexblades also don't get third-level spells until level 11, so they can't enter Nightmare Spinner at the point you want. Actually, I don't think Nightmare Spinner is well suited to you at all, since the majority of the hexblade spells you'll want to cast aren't Illusion spells with saving throws. (Most fear spells, if you cast those directly, are enchantments. And most of the really good hexblade spells are either transmutations or shadow illusions.) Still, if you really want, Nighmare Spinner as a single-level dip can still be effective. But no more than one level!

Look into Frightful Presence (the poor man's Dreadful Wrath, found in the Draconomicon), Never Outnumbered (a skill trick in Complete Scoundrel, and an absolute killer if you like Intimidate), and ask about Imperious Command and *especially* Fearsome armor (both are in Drow of the Underdark, but these enough to make the weak hexblade useful in stronger situations. The former is a killer feat for intimidators, the latter lets you intimidate as a move action.). If you insist on other dips, use Paladin of Tyranny 3 (for a debuff aura; you can get other debuff auras using the Tome of Magic if you want (Bind Vestige or one level of binder, plus Improved Binding, to get Focalor)) or Bard 1 (if you can get the Doomspeak feat cleared, since it combines really well with hexes).

(EDIT: I originally suggested Dread Witch as a potential 4-level dip here, since they can actually punch through fear immunity (but not mind-affecting immunity; they can scare paladins, but not undead), but upon a deeper check, hexblades can't get the spells required to get into that class without using two Extra Spell feats.)

Speaking for myself rather than the OP I would have to admit that Tempest is most helpful as usual... although this time indirectly for a change. The builds and advices in the handbook are all fun, helpful and a step away from broken (at lest at first glance). Being a non-spellcasting fan - the Cromwell build is especially close to my heart, but I would appreciate some advice for dealing with fear immunity and sneak attack immunity - the build seems to be quickly turned impotent by the presence of those two features - is there a way around (sorry for the hijack, but it seems as an advice that can be usefull to the OP as well)?

By your hexblade do you mean Hadyn? I remember reading about it in the Death for Nothing threat, but the tables were all sorts of a mess (at least on my monitor). Are you using the standard hexblade there or there are some fixes involved?
