Apr 27, 2009 12:20:45 Okay so heres the deal I need a very high strength for fun mostly. I am looking for templates and races or any combination that amounts to LA 3 or less. I do not want racial HD. Lloth Touched seems to be a decent template but inm not sure about anything else. Minotaur Races offer a high strength too.

Feral Lolth Touched Orc is +16 strength

Reckless Rage is +6 strength

If your starting strength is 18 + 16 + 6 = strength of 40 at 2nd level.

Assuming you use a great sword
+16 to hit, 2d6+22 damage (19-20)

I would only play this kind of character in a one shot adventure though. Just go with an Orc +4 strength, check out my journal for the fun it is to play an orc.

(with racial HD): Halfdragon-centaur (ridiculous high STR ... but 4 racial HD and +5 LA)
Str+16, con+6, dex+4, wis+2, int +-0, cha+2

or

feral (savage Species) blooded one (unaproachable east - though needs some DM allowance duo to "humanoid" prereq ..) goliath
stats: str+10, con+8, dex-4, wis+2, cha+-0, int-6(min 2), many funny little things

allthoug a feral goliath should be enough
stats: str+8, con+6, dex-4, wis+2, cha+-0, int-4(min 2)

I'd go feral over lolth touched. Same +6 to strength, and you don't have the pesky role playing hinderences of lolth touched. You also get +6 natural armor with feral.

even fits thematicly

Oh, and put them on an Orc. +4 str.

Apr 27, 2009 14:51:35 Some things to remember, many DM's consider Half-Minotaur broken and won't allow it. Lloth-Touched forces the character to be CE and Lloth tends to like her worshipers extremely devout and loyal(to her).

Loth Touched = +6 Str, +6 Con

total Attribute bonus adjustments=

+18 Str
-2 Dex
+10 Con
-8 Int
+2 Wis
-2 Cha

Feral Nercopolitian(or grave-touched Ghoul) half-minotaur Orc

-Be crafted by an 8th level Dread Necromancer with the Corpsecrafter feat
-Silly strength ensues, definitely if you start in higher levels(Does you strength, Hp, and Dex still increase as you gain HD?)

Apr 27, 2009 16:15:48 If you want a high str, you can also accomplish it with the proper build.

Start out with a level in Barbarian, multiclass fighter, then into Bear Warrior (pick up VoP at this point) with a dip into Frenzied Berserker and 4 levels of Warshaper.

No matter your starting race, you will end up with a massive Str.

Note that HD>>LA (at least you get something!!!)

A feral anthropomorphic baleen whale (3 HD, 1 LA) is a force to be reckoned with (STR+12, NA+15, a lot of other stuff). Savage Species FTW!

Take barbarian level, with goliath level subsitution for mountain rage and take reckless rage (feat from race of stone). At 1st level barbarian (ECL 4) you'll have STR = starting score + 22 + 8 = + 30 str.

For truly insane strengh, take the cleric option focus domain : Strenght (from dragon magazine; I'm away from my book right now, so I don't remember which one, I'll come back later to write it), which double the benefit for the feat of strengh. Then take the mighty contender of Kord class (also dragon magazine). By level 20, you'll gain a bonus of +60 to str for 1d4+1 rounds once a day, and +40 a few additional times. This might depend on the interpretation of both ability. You can of course take that on top of your feral half-minotaur goliath.

Apr 29, 2009 5:09:35 I am extremely surprised that nobody mentioned the War Hulk PrC (Miniatures Handbook). You lose BAB, but when you combine the 10th level ability with an increased-in-size spiked chain (using Monkey Grip or something like that), you get to do some serious damage to anyone foolish enough to come as near as 30 feat near you. Also, you can pick up giant rocks and throw them at your opponents, or you can pick up your opponents and throw them at giant rocks. And after you take the entire 10 levels of that PrC you're only a few levels of Hulking Hurler away from destroying the planet with the awesome power of cheese.
