#1 shazamboi Aug 20, 2012 18:55:55	Yo, hi guys. I've just been wondering. What's the highest INT acquirable at level 1 for 0 LA? I can use any dragon magazine or any 3.5 source. Have fun! (Wow, this sounds really douche. Erm, please?)
#2 Maat_Mons Aug 20, 2012 19:15:58	Several races offer +2 int for +0 LA. The primordial giant template (Secrets of Xen'drik) gives -4 str, -2 con, +4 int, +2 cha for +0 LA, but can only be applied to a giant. Half-giant has a racial class (Complete Psionic) that allows it to be played from 1st level. A kobold with the dragonwrought feat (Races of the Dragon) doesn't take ability penalties for aging, so you can get the +3 to mental stats from being venerable without taking the -6 to physical stats. Fiendish codex II has rules on page 23 for selling your soul for +1 to an ability score.

#4 Asteron Aug 21, 2012 13:50:00	I don't know of any races that offer more than a +2 int for 0 LA. There may be other options (see Maat_Mons' post) but races themselves tend to have level adjustments more greater stat bumps.

#6 Krusk Aug 21, 2012 15:07:23	Primordial Giant from Secrets of Xend'rik gets +4 int as a LA+0 template, but you have to be a giant first.  A half giant is LA +1, so thats pretty close. Outside of that most things don't get more than +2 int at level 1.
#7 Krusk Aug 21, 2012 15:12:31	If savage species is allowed, start as a fire giant, Orge, Ogre Mage, or Stone Giant. Then take their levels, because there is no int penalty. If you want real classes, don't put levels in the racial classes and forgo those benefits (Questionably legal, probably not) This provides +0 LA giants for primordial giant.

(LA+1)(Thanks Lilt) Petal Captured One(shrapnyl) incarnate construct Str 18(18 not +18) Dex 11, Con +4, Int +4, Wis 19, Cha +8 Necropolitan Phrenic Magic-Blooded Venerable Star Elf +11 Cha, +5 Int, + 3 Wis, no Con (undead type), -6 Str, -6 Dex, LA +2, lots of great features for a sorcerer!
