Highest to Hit Bonus(?)

So I found this build while surfing the web:

Thri-keen HD 2/Targeteer Fighter 1/Barbarian 1/Ranger 2/Warblade 14.

7 feats from levels, 1 from Ranger for 8.

3 MWF - GMWF
1 Hand Crossbow Focus (get Extra Arm [SS] to reload 'em all)
3 PBS, Precise, Rapid
1 Crossbow Sniper

So 18 attacks by default though only 3 full attack actions for 108 attacks.

If this works, then we can simply replace crossbow sniper with Woodland Archer, which means every time we miss an attack, we gain a cumulative +4 bonus to the next attack that hits.  So if the build above works like he says it does, and with a BaB of 18, penalty of 2, we have a +16 base.

Begin your round, and delibrately miss every shot except for the last.  So lets see, 107 x 4 + 16.... *pulls out calculator.*

That's +444 to hit.  Impressive, but lets do one better. Replace Hand Crossbow Focus with Leadership, and have your cohort be a Wizard.  There is a spell in complete ruin called 'Arrowsplit.' Which turns each arrow into 1d4+1 arrows.  Now, have him cast a Maximized Arrowsplit on you, for insane-ness.

So let's recalculate that, 539 x 4 + 16 *pulls out calculator (again)*

And we get... +2,172 to hit.

I'm not sure how much the current record is, not counting nano-tech or infinite loops, but I'd say that's a pretty nice total.

Also, I'm away from my books right now, so there may be some glaring errors in this; but I just wanted to see if anyone else had thought of this.

I'm figuring 4 attacks from base attack bonus, 9 from greater multiweapon fighting, 4 from raging mongoose, 1 from rapid shot, 1 from whirling frenzy, and 1 from haste or a speed weapon and 2 full attacks from time stands still, but I can't see where you're getting the 3rd full attack.

I'm not familiar with woodland archer or arrow split. My guess would be that woodland archer is per attack roll and arrow split uses one attack roll for all the split arrows. I could be wrong.

The attacks are made with splitting arrows.  And you may be right about arrow split, like I said, I'm away from my books.

Not sure what you'd do with all that AB, though, without a way to turn it into damage or somesuch.

If it was melee attack, combining an obscene AB with avalanche of blades and aura of perfect order would be fun.

There's a NI-loop with Blood in the Water, but it's not as nice.

I wish I could find the actual to hit record. (Besides Nanobots.) Funny Slaughter's list (Which is horribly outdated and wrong) doesn't list one.  So I'm kind of stuck.

Well, I can think of a way to get in the 100-range, and Blood in the Water can easily enough give us about +2 per round, so using a delay death'd sacrificial lamb, we can get up to +28.800 or so, in one day. For 1 minute.

Which isn't an issue with some split-cheese, but that's at least somewhat questionable, so let's not go there.

Okay, so... let's be a rebuild ardent/cerebramancer and get Innate Spell of Mount. Then, let's start Assimilating.

We'll need Fission, and our duplicate will be doing the summoning of light horses/ponies, while we ourselves do the assimilatin'

I'm not sure if we can get infinite PP, but presuming we can, we can summon at least 600 mounts which we then assimilate for +4 STR each, giving us a STR of 2400, so that's a bit more than +1200 to hit. It's probably a good idea to extend Assimilate, so we can enjoy our superpowers for one hour.

Delibrately missing isn't rolling and missing. basically you'd just get to a level where you couldn't miss. And the DM will probably also that the bonus only applies to the iterative attacks on the weapon that missed. The feat is not, after all, designed to be used with anything that uses more then one missile launching weapon...although you then get into Tome of Battle fun with handcrossbows applying to Great Xbows.

Delibrately missing isn't rolling and missing.

While that is true, a miss is still a miss. So that part of the feat should work. If you believe otherwise, please cite the appropriate RAW.

It's much more questionable whether the feat actually stacks with itself. I.e., if you can ever get an attack bonus of more than 4 from it, even if you miss multiple times in a single round. Since the feat doesn't explicitly state that it does, it would be considered a bonus of the same type/source and thusly not stack.

The feat is not, after all, designed to be used with anything that uses more then one missile launching weapon.

That's just a claim. And RAI (or more accurately: your guess of the intent of the rules) is irrelevant for this discussion. I strongly doubt this build is meant for actual use.

I can't see where you're getting the 3rd full attack.

Belt of Battle, I guess.
