| #1BlackRequiemAug 14, 2008 16:19:42 | I'm playing making a Tiefling Swordsage 5\Horizon Walker 1 ( before anyone asks I've been allowed to drop the LA and pick my own racial power from a list of 1st level spells ) for a planar campaign but I don't see any Handbooks on the Horizon Walker it's self. How do you make the most use of the Horizon Walker? And is there anything better I could do with my class build? I considered working in Ranger levels for Favored Terrain, TWF and skills but decided I didn't want to gimp my Maneuver progression Too hard. Another big focus for me is Knowledge based skills and ways to maximize them; are there any Feats, spells or class features that make use of Knowledge for stunning results? |

| #3BlackRequiemAug 14, 2008 16:50:40 | Shifting gives me some good ways to set up flanks unless a Dimensional Anchor goes down. I've also thought about taking levels in Rogue or any classes that continue SA damage progression. But would it be better to just pick up a PrC from ToB? Any suggestions on that? I was thinking something like this at the very least. I may drop 1-2 of Horizon Walker ( so something like Swordsage 5\Horizon Walker 6-7\Etc ) levels to get 9th level Maneuvers, in which case it's a toss-up between Tremorsense or Dimension Door. Terrain Desert ( Fatigue Immunity ) Forest ( +4 Hide ) Marsh ( +4 Move Silently ) Plains ( +4 Spot ) Underground ( increases my Darkvision to 120-ft ) Planar Shifting ( Dimension Door every 1d4 rounds ) Aligned ( DM will throw us into aligned planes, will suck without this ) Cavernous ( Tremorsense ) |

| #5BlackRequiemAug 14, 2008 21:47:11 | What's that? |
| #6reisAug 14, 2008 22:01:40 | its an ability of some forgotten realms prestige classes to make a full attack after using a spell (or SLA) with the teleportation descriptor I think if your character is already a swordsage it would be a lot more optimized to just get shadow stride/blink SH maneuvers and skip horizon walker unless you're dead set on it |
| #7BlackRequiemAug 14, 2008 22:09:18 | its an ability of some forgotten realms prestige classes to make a full attack after using a spell (or SLA) with the teleportation descriptor If there's a better PrC or class for a planewalker them I'm up for hearing about it. edit: err... besides the Planar Shepard which is ruled out. |

At level 3 it gains immunity to planar affects of the planes he visits (wich you can share with allies at lvl 5), and at lvl 10 you can create your own demiplane. And you gain telepathy and some other goodies at some point. |
