Despite it already being cool to be an assassin in D&D 3.5 I was looking for a way to "spice it up" We are playing 3.5 rules, my character is a level 2 going on level 3 rogue human Any books go as long as I provide the link or page where I found what I'm looking for any ideas would be nice I could potentially remake my character from scratch so if you have a scratch idea let me know thanks! (also for the regular assassin when it says that the assassin has a 1% chance of killing his opponent, or disabling him assassins choice, does this mean I would need to role a 1% or role a 99%?

So, are you absolutely set on the DMG Assasin, or are you more interested in the role of the assasin? Because the Assasin PrC isn't that good (there are much worse, though).

I'd just like something that has the assassin Vibe... a character who would fit the bill of having hidden daggers possibly spring loaded ones even im just looking for "the ultimate rogue" or something interesting that comes close to the class of a very sneaky rogue/assassin/ninja etc

Human Rogue 1/Wizard 5/Unseen Seer 10/Divine Oracle 2/Arcane Trickster 2

Sneak attacking with Disintegrate has style.

another try in this direction would be asking your DM whether Kung Fu Genius / Carmedine Monk can also be applied to the Ninjas Wis to AC and thus granting INT to AC.

than sinmply exchange rouge1 for ninja1 in above build - you might loose one "real" sneak attack Die, but would that really matter?

Rogue 5/ Assassin 9/ Telfammar Shadowlord 6 - basic assassin build
Swordsage 1/ Warlock 6/ Swordsage 1/ Telfammar Shadowlord 4/ Assassin 8
Spellthief 1/Wizard 4/Unseen Seer 10/Spellwarp Sniper 5
Monk 2/Swashbuckler 1/Fighter 1/Warblade 6/Swordsage 1/Telflammar Shadowlord 4/Master of Nine 5
Crusader 1/Rogue 1/Sneak Attack Fighter 1/Cleric 1/Warblade 5/Ruby Knight Vindicator 7/Telflammar Shadowlord 4
Rogue 1/ Swordsage 9/ Assassin 10 -though not in that order
Justice of Weald and Woe from Champions of Valor could also make a decent assassin but I have not seen many builds for it

Also there are some interesting points about the assassin here: Assassin the profession vs. Assassin PrC

Unarmed Swwwwww-wwwwww-wwwwwww-wwwwwoooooooooorrrrrrrrd Sage! There's even an existing fluff organization detailed in ToB for assassination stuff. Doesn't get better than that. You have maneuvers, death attacks, deadly shadowy garrotes, wall climbing, and the opportunity to go chameleon for a while to get a gish-lite effect and trap sense or Teflammar shadowlord for multi-attack madness. I love it dearly..

Oh and no one can take your weapons away. Not without, you know, chopping off your hands, feet, and head. And at that point, yeah......

Personally i have always favored Silver keys and Occult slayers for assasins.

Not a particulary strong class but good at breaking into places.

Thanks. Its diametrically opposed to my kind of assassins (dual wield and deal absurd amounts of damage), but it would be perfect for a cohort
