How do I get domains, cheaply?

Hi there!

I'm working on a soulsucker build that revolves on dishing out craploads of negative levels and using improved energy drain and lifedrain to power up.

The thing is, I want to incorporate the Hunger domain into the build. A bit to signify divine backing and a bit because it seems like a simple way of getting a 1d6 bite.

Originally the build featured one level of cleric and that was fine, but, now I have to phase that out to make room for a +1 template.
I have one or two levels of totemist I can take out, but they need to be replaced with something that grants full bab.
So, I was thinking, is it possible to give domains to paladins? Or are there any ways to give characters around lvl 5-6 a domain granted power/domain without to much hassle?

Thanks for any response.

Thaum

[Edit] Oh yeah, if the thread seems a bit oddly written and stuff, it's because I'm lacking sleep and I can't think straight :P

Divine Crusader is a alignment restriction paladin-esque prc that grants access to a single domain power and casting from that domain. You have to have the exact alignment of your 'deity'. Grants 9th level spells in 10 levels. It's only Rogue BAB, though. It's from CD, but the earliest you can get into it is 8th.

Planar Touchstone-The Catalogues of Enlightenment, is a feat from the planar handbook you can take at 6th that will grant you a single domain power for, IIRC, 250gp and 10xp.

You can also use the buyback rules for LA available in the SRD to get rid of that +1 LA and get your level of Cloistered Cleric back.

As a Paladin-Paladin? Or a varient because you can't be Lawful Good to long while you are draining souls.

Any reason for a bite attack? Claws are a little more effective because you are able to get more attacks with them- or monk natural weapons. There are two Souleater Handbooks floating around, one here, and the more recent one I'm making you click that sticky at the top of the forms for. The "Some Handy links for CO work" thread.

The kobold varienthere gets a bit attack and no LA.

I'm guessing a bite attack since his hands will be full of weapons and therefore unable to make claw attacks.

Planar Touchstone is pretty much exactly what you are looking for. You don't actually need the full domain, just the granted power, right?

Also, domain draughts will give you access to a domain's abilities for a short period of time.

Well there is that, but if the OP is willing to spend a little cash. Necrotic Focus enchantment allow him to channel his energy drain through his weapons

Which Touchstone is that Wyvern?

Planar Touchstone to dial in to the Catalogues of Enlightenment. Then you get to pick one domain within your ethos and use its domain power. Hunger gives you a bite attack, so thus you've gotten what you're looking for. Enjoy your bite attack.
