| #1iyailleNov 02, 2009 15:42:13 | I can't find rule about that in the SRD. Art objets can be very expensive - 10 to 12 000 gp - maybe the PCs don't want to sell or buy them but craft them. But how to rule that ? Skill check ? Which one - Profession (painter, sculptor...) or Craft (paint, sculpture...) ? Profession rule won't make you a wealthy artist and Craft rule don't match with art (raw material, time to spend). Any idea ? And then the question is : How to optimize it as a PC ? |
| #2aleristhes33kerNov 03, 2009 7:12:39 | I would handle it similar to Perform, or just stick with craft. The best would definitely be a combination of the two. You work one week, make a craft (painting or whatever) check and multiply the result with a DC the player chooses before making the roll. The result is the number of Silver Coins the Object is worth (or copper coins when trying to craft on one day). Of course the players could work more than one week to increase the value of the object, but they will have tomake a check every week. |
