| #1crazyroundeyeAug 20, 2010 10:54:57 | So, as the title says, i wat to make UMD work with a character with a very low charisma (-3 penalty). Is there a feat that allows me to use, say, anything else? I know about the headband of persuasion/cloak of charisma/masterworked tool (I'm guessing pointy hat) tricks, but anything else would help. thanks in advance |

Lastly what kind of check do you need to make? As in wands need something like a 15 that is not hard, ut if you are planning to use a staff or such that is a different story. |

| #7malkavonSep 19, 2010 19:29:41 | There's always the Item Familiar feat (link), specifically the "Invest Skill Points" option. Invest at least 3 skill points per level into the item, and apply the +1 bonus to UMD. You'll wind up with double ranks in UMD, which when combined with a competence item + other bonuses should be more than enough. |
