| #1EndarireDec 14, 2008 0:41:24 | Phaerimm are listed on page 188 of Lost Empires of Faerun. I'm interested in trying a Phaerimm sorcerer because each sorcerer or +1 level counts double! The LA of 2 puts me off, but so does the idea of playing an aberration that looks like a Malboro. LA buyoff is obvious, but I hoped to do some Incarnate Construct trickery with Warforged and polymorph any object to negate the LA. How could I do this by the RAW? |

That is incorrect - the character's ECL would be equal to racial HD + class HD + 2, while its caster level would only be equal to racial HD + class HD. You could buy off the +2 level adjustment using the rules from one of the other books (Savage Species?), but you'd be no better off than a human spellcaster. |

| #4reisDec 14, 2008 11:14:20 | for my campaign I just re-designed the entire monster entry using the one from Lost Empires as a footnote, check out the "how a dm kicks butt and chews bubble gum" post for a example |
