Human Voodoo Doll

Last night I played a binder that used the ability on Dahlver Nar that has half of the damage directed to the target. I slit my own throat and got past all damage reduction. It was hilarious. I was wondering if there was a way to build an effective character around the concept of using oneself as a voodoo doll. Obviously you'd want things like fast healing and the sort, but I some how think this concept is going to be difficult to get going effectively. Any help?

Thanks in advance.

I'm not familiar with the ability, but how about temporary hit points? Another option would be delay death.

Frenzied Berserker perhaps?

Jup, frenzied berserker would rock.

But maybe a Troll or Ogre mage?  They have Regeneration so they take only nonlethal damage from most things.

I just saw some way to do it as a psion with forced share pain, but that one does not let through nonlethal meaning regeneration would not work in conjunction. However, it appears as though multiple instances of forced share pain would allow me to transfer almost all the damage I do to myself to the target.

Delay death sounds good.

Wouldn't frenzied berserker mean I would have a potential to attack my allies? Being a barbarian/psion (it's gestalt) sounds like a good mix of things for getting loads of hit points for self mutilation.

I don't want to be a "monster," or really anything that looks like a monster.

Thanks for all the help.

EDIT: What's the name of the weapon ability that heals you half of the damage upon hitting?

If you could find a way to gain fast healing or regeneration then it could work. The ability shield self does half the damage you take to one other creature that fails its will save (if unwilling). I dunno if it would deal damage to your enemy before or after DR. But the idea sounds really cool.
