have a character idea that i might be able to use if i can convince my dm to allow tome of battle however he gave stipulations of only phb 1 and two, anything else published by wizards is ok. so i saw rock hurling and inproved rock hurling and thinking it might work with bloodstorm blade. so heres where you come in, its 8th level campaign (so probably 7th level) only starting gold. also can you enchant something that isnt quite a weapon? any questions?

You're getting dangerously close to Hulking Hurler territory here.

Could you be more specific about your available books? Logically parsing what you wrote here says that every book is available, and even if you apply the limitations you're apparently using (PHB, PHB2, ToB only), the rock hurling abilities aren't present in that subset.

whoops that was meant to say only base classes from phb and 2 and i think i can convince the dm to allow me to use the warblade (cause i think thats the only class that gets iron heart manuvers) base class

An idea could be to just be a fighter and use your feats to pick up martial study and martial stance to get Ironheart Maneuvres/stances to qualify for bloodstorm blade, that'd allow you to get into it and fulfill your DM's request for a PhB base class

Just an idea if he doesn't allow a base class from ToB. It's a shame you can't use adaptive style without having a level of one of them

If you can't get warblade but can get bloodstorm blade, you take what you can get.

Which Rock Hurling abilities are you looking at, out of curiosity? The War Hulk's or the feats in Races of Stone? If it's the feats (as I suspect), you get an 80-foot-range 2d6 rock (it's not clear whether throwing these are standard actions or attack actions). Bloodstorm Blade's biggest ability here (the first of its truly great abilities) is the Thunderous Throw ability, which would allow Power Attack to apply to ranged weapons. This is not one of those abilities that requires a strike expenditure. However, if you want to throw a two-handed weapon (i.e. the easiest way to enhance Power Attack), you have to throw the rock as a full-round action anyway. (Rock Hurling alters the range increment, and presumably lets you throw 50-pound rocks one-handed, but a one-handed weapon only gets 1:1 Power Attack instead of 2:1 Power Attack). This isn't exactly a winning strategy due to how slow it is.

I thought the Bloodstorm Blade ability went around the 2H throwing being a full round, since it's effectively just changing your melee attacks into ranged attacks

it the feats, so how would i make it work for a fighter?

I actually have something saved that would be quite fun if you could swing it.

the VOP can actually be very strong ... provided you plan your build around it .... even a simple Fighter build can be very effective ..... heres an example:

"Sticks and stone can break bones .... thats why i throw stones"

Dude the Stoner Saint

Goliath
Fighter 10

Attributes (32pt buy)
22 Str(15 +4 Racial +1 lvl +2 Enhancement)
12 Dex(14 -2 Racial)
16 Con(14 +2 Racial)
12 Int(12)
10 Wis(10)
15 Cha(14 +1 lvl)

Flaws:
Murkey Eyed
Vulnerable: -1 AC

Traits:
Aggressive: +2 Initiative, -1 AC
Quick: +10 land Speed, -1hp/lvl

Feats:
Sacred Vow(Flaw bonus)
VOP(Flaw Bonus)
Nymphs Kiss(VOP bonus)

1st lvl: Education, Brutal Throw(Fighter bonus)
2nd lvl: Rock Hurling(Fighter bonus),Touch of Golden Ice(VOP bonus)
3rd lvl: Knowledge Devotion
4th lvl: Weapon Focus(Rocks)(Fighter bonus),Sanctify Martial Strike(VOP bonus)
6th lvl: Weapon Specialization(Rocks), Improved Rock Hurling(Fighter bonus),Nimbus of Light(VOP bonus)
8th lvl: Power Attack(Fighter bonus),Holy Radience(VOP bonus)
9th lvl: Power Throw
10th lvl: Ranged Weapon Mastery(Bludgeoning)(Fighter bonus),Knight of the Stars(VOP bonus)

VOP Benifits @ 10th lvl

+2 Enhancement (1 Ability)
constant Endure Elements
No need to Eat or Drink(similar to ring of sustenance)
mind shielding(sim to ring)
+1 resistance to all saves
+7 Exalted AC
+1 Deflection AC
+1 natural Armor
+2 enhancement to all attacks
DR 5/Evil
Combat Abilities:

throwing Rocks:
BAB +10
Attack Bonus = +10 BAB +6 Str +1 IRH +1 WF +2 RWM +2 Enhancement +2 Insight = +24 to Hit

Damage = 7(ave of 2d6) +6 Str +2 Enhancement +2 Insight +2 WSpl +2 RWM = +21 Damage

Range Increment = 80' +20' RWM = 100' .... can throw rocks to 500'

Full Attack = +22/+17

can also Power Attack with Rocks max +10 damage, per throw

this build also qualifies for the Saint Template.... which makes it even stronger, and later will take TWF(TWF,IMP TWF, Greater TWF) or Ranged feat Trees(Point blank Shot, Rapid Shot, Many Shot, Imp Rapid Shot) also Greater Weapon Focus and Greater Weapon Specialization maybe Far Shot too and some other ranged feats

this just shows what you might face if you annoy beggars sitting on a piles of rocks

this build does quite well for any party ... and compares well to any 10th lvl Character(martial focused)

Obviously you can modify to taste, but it is quite an effective way to throw rocks.

alright here is what i got, and this will be an ongoing campaign with periodic breaks in between. Dm has allowed warblade.
Race: Goliath
class: warblade 3/ fighter 2/ bloodstorm blade 2
Feats: rock hurling, improved rock hurling, point blank shot, precise shot, exotic wp maul (lets me use a shield too)
Eventually: bloodstorm blade 10/ master thrower 1/ warblade 5/ figher 4 (la buyoff

this shoud give me 14 feats which i will try and use for those above, far shot, weapon focus maul, brutal throw but cant think of anything else that would be nessary for to make this happen so suggestions please. the master thrower should allow me to make ranged attacks in melee and throwing the maul should allow me to enchant my weapon. Does anyone else have suggestions? comments criticizims concerns?

The Throw Anything feat from RoS. You might also want to consider taking a level of barbarian for the Mountain Rage racial ACF in RoS. Being Large increases your reach & carrying capacity.

Its a common hulking hurler choice. They throw based off their light load, and the heavier the object the more damage it does. Not sure how bloodstorm blade works, but if its like that, thats why.

its not because the feat rock hurling and improved specifically say objects from 40-50 pounds, the dmg isnt based on wieght its based on the feat and im not taking hulking hurler. but it makes sense if someone thinks i still should but i dont particularly care for hulking hurler

was thinking bout it and wondering if maybe instead of master thrower maybe exotic weapon master, it would allow me much of the same things
