I understand the spell trigger idea, but I don't understand how this feat would help me... 3) I have been playing for a few years, but this is my first dabble in crafting. My biggest concern in my inexperience with crafting and using wands. I am reading that an artificer acts two levels higher when crafting items, but my big question is how do metamagic feats sit inside of wands... do I have to use more than one charge per use if i want to apply metamagic abilities like twin? |

Try that link for more info, but.. 1) No idea on this question. 2) Metamagic spell trigger is a class feature you automatically gain. Grabbing a metamagic feat simply let's you use it. Example: extend spell raises it by 1 spell level, means in this case it costs 1 more charge, so you use 2 charges when using this class feature. 3) Yes, the link above goes into more detail, as well as the above example. Anyway, hope that helps! =) |

So, an extended 1st level infusion actually takes up a 2nd level infusion slot. Due to this, you will be hard-pressed to use Persistent Spell as a metamagic feat on your infusions, though you might find it useful on a spell trigger item (only you'll burn through charges like a wildfire through a forest). |

Quite handy for persistent spell that way. Other hints, liberal use of spell storing infusion at low lvls = win at versatility. |
