i'm looking for a bit of help with this character

Okay, I was intentionally a bit misleading with my title there. What I'm looking for is a way to duplicate/modify a certain class ability into usefulness. But first the character. I started a thread earlier about one man parties, having my own ideas about it, and my girlfriend and I have both decided to do our best at making a one man party, or at least a one man problem solver in 20 levels. So, I decided to start with Binder as my base to start from, due to the inherent flexibility of the class. Next I was thinking chameleon, even if I only go so far as the floating feat. I was considering master of masks until I looked at it again, and was about to disregard it entirely, until I saw a class ability from the Shadow Smith called Shadow Craft, long story short: you can craft items from shadows, so long as they aren't flexible (ie: rope, whip), and have no moving parts (ie lock, music box), within a certain weight limit based on class levels. Now, in thinking of this in regard to the gladiator mask (prof with all martial and exotic weapons), I found a new joy in a single level of master of masks (*poof!* instant exotic weapon of your choice!). That is, until I found the daily limit on shadow craft, effectively making it (near) useless. Daily limit of 1/2 your class level...
Now, before I saw that, my build idea was:
Binder14
Chameleon2
Master of Masks1
Shadow Smith3
However, with the daily limit in place, there's not much point in either the master of masks level, nor the Shadow Smith levels...

That is, unless the Char OP board can help me. The only essential feat I need for that build is Able Learner for chameleon. Technically, everything else is up for grabs. I don't have a particular campaign for this build yet, so all official Wizards published material is viable (though not Dragon Magazine). I haven't rolled stats yet, and was intending the race to be human (though that was probably kinda obvious with chameleon in the build). I might also add I was considering making my first level one of rogue, just for the skill points. My only request is that the build remain mainly binder.

I look forward to seeing brilliant ideas in action, and thanks in advance! (I hope this is a fun and interesting challenge for you)

::Edit::

I've also asked the classes and prestige classes forum if there are any other viable alternatives:

::Edit2 for further clarity::

The short version of what I'm looking for is a way to either get lot's more daily uses of the shadow craft ability, or make it at will, or a suitably useful alternative, though I like shadowcraft a lot, conceptually.

Factotum (Dungeonscape) sounds similar to what you're trying to accomplish. It's a class that has a little bit of everything-healing, skill monkey, combat, and spellcasting-and gets incredible mileage out of one ability score, Intelligence. You get lots of good stuff, like pretty much any class skill you want, and if taken far enough, you can emulate other classes' features.

Just to clarify, I'm looking for a way to alter the Shadow Craft ability form Shadow Smith to where it is more useful, either through more uses per day or at will or whatever. Or even another way to get the same or similar effect. I just want it to be reliable, and avialable more often.

Well, if you weren't looking at chameleon, I'd suggest the Shaedling race from one of the Monster Manuals. I think there's also a spell called Spectral Weapon that creates a quasi-real weapon you can make touch attacks with (though the enemy gets a Will save to take only half damage and partially ignore special attacks). Also, the Call Weapon psionic power, IIRC.

If you're just looking for a weapon at will, you could try a soulknife dip (much as it pains me to say it). There are feats to let you shape mind blades into certain exotic weapons like an orc double axe and a dwarven urgrosh...Think there was a flail too...

Otherwise, there's an item of some kind (sand related, but the name eludes me) that you can make a Wisdom check to turn into various things.

The Shaedlings are new to me, I'll see what I can scrounge up about them.

Unfortunately, it's more than just the weapons. It's also, *poof* thieves tools, *poof* crowbar, *poof* hammer, etc. And yeah, soulknife is so very sub-optimal.

Sand shaper is the class, but the problem is a prerequisite of arcane caster level 5, in addition to a Touchstone (City of the Dead) feat, which I don't know if that'll fly, depending on what campaign this guy ends up in. Otherwise, it'd be the solution to my problem.

Not a class, an item.

Do you mean Shapesand? I haven't had much experience with it...

Neither have I, that's why I'm leery about it. You could try the Marvelous Pigments.

Yea, I guess that's an option. Only problem I have with those is that they're consumable. Shapesand doesn't seem to be. I think it's re-useable. And I just can't quite get over the cool flavorful-ness of this guy just sticking a hand into a shadow and pulling out, whatever, you know? Be it a theives tool, or a goliath greathammer, or whatever. A re-useable resource and constantly abundant.
