Alright, say you're playing in a group with six players, and your DM says gesalt rules. It's lready been established that every player needs to fill one role, and fill it damn good. So the rest  the players choose to play somethings along the lines of; Cleric/Druid, Fighter/Ranger, Wizard/Fighter Variant, Rogue/Scout, and Bard/Barbarian. You're stuck being support, and you'd better do it well, so you go Factocum/Savant.

Is that not possibly the best support character yet? all skill are class skills, two different sources of both arcane and divine spellcasting, and plenty of 'help other characer succeed on skill checks' chances.

Well? What do you think?

And Savant is from the Dragon Magazine Compendium Vol 1.

What kind of support?

Support like buffing the whole party or more like helping here and there whenever it's needed?

For the latter one, factotum is always a good choiceLaughing

Helping where ever it might be needed. I mean, Savant lets him share his skill ranks with allies, and Factocum boosts his own and gives him cool powers when he needs them.
