#1 Dokktorwho222 Aug 17, 2014 8:30:11	Im currently running a 3.5 campaign with a 6th level party composed of [1human bard, 1 gnomish bard, a human cleric of St Cuthbert, a human druid and a female dwarven ranger] Another player asked to join and i allowed him to create whatever he wanted and he came up with a CN Thri-Kreen Warblade wielding 4 +2 masterwork kukri in each claw.. This character has, Muti weap prof, Battle clarity, Uncanny Dodge, Battle Ardor, in addition to +Moment of perfect Mind (Diamond), +Sudden Leap (Tiger), +Wolf Fang Strike(Tiger),+Punishing Stance(Iron), +Action Before Thought(Diamond), and Combat Relfexes +Blood in the Water(Tiger), and +Wall of Blades(Iron). Basically this bug slices and dices and juliennes fries. I have been trying to come up with an enemy template who will give this character a challenge. I've found alot of character optimizations that might work, but i fear that most of this character's feats would defeat most builds. I would welcome any thoughts on how to build something that would be able to find a chink in this guy's chitin, if you will. Any race or class is welcome probably around level 10 or so in order to defeat this character, but that he might be able to defeat at a later date.  I have opposing enemies for the other characters, but i'm at a loss for how to deal with this guy. It's a little overwhelming. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

#4 Maat_Mons Aug 17, 2014 13:35:11	Well, the easy thing to do would be to make a mineral warrior (Underdark, p96) with four instances of the thick-skinned feat (Savage Sepecies, p40). He'd have DR 16/adamantine, which would probably frustrate the thri-kreen in the first encounter. It also leaves a massive gap for the player to exploit once he's familiar with the enemy.
#5 Dokktorwho222 Aug 17, 2014 14:09:37	Thank you very much for all this info. I have been running games off and on for a long time, but i've never had to deal with a power player like this. Just for clarification, this character is a non-psi Thri-Kreen.  Now i have to figure out a way to sit this player down and expalin to him that he needs to tone this crazy guy down a little bit. I'm all for making people happy and letting them do what they want, but this was getting out of hand.

In hindsight i should have had him concept a character and flesh it out in person with me. This player def has more time to sit around, read and memorize everything written (i'm more of a "let me look that up" DM), so i hear you on getting him to help with other players.
