I'd like to play Ray Charles for this. We get to start out at level 4, so I was thinking maybe just go 4 levels with Core bard. And I figured Blind fighting would be a must have.
Now, here is the "Knowns" of what I have to work with.
Race - Human
Age - 60
Level - 4
Stats -
Str - 12
Dex - 15
Con - 14
Wis - 16
Int - 18
Cha - 16
And then I have a point to put in, I haven't yet. I had also been thinking maybe some monk levels would be nice. I'd like Improved Unarmed strike on him.
He was blind since about 10 - why not play him around 20? He'd have been about level 4 back then.
Actually , thats a good idea. I doubt the age would make much diffrence to the DM, and would make a bit more sense.
Now, before this turns into a giant "I hate you go die" flame fest. I REALLY wanna stat this guy out to play. The really tricky part here is, making him as authentic as possible.
Taking him and baseing it on younger days, he was quite athletic, simply put he was blind (obviously).
Are there any workable PC classes that benefit from being blind? I haven't got the chance to dig around yet, but nothing came to mind. I'd like to avoid having to take levels in commoner, but may have to if thats what it takes to make it more authentic.

You could simulate being accustomed to blindness with Blind-Fight and Scorpion's Sense (Sandstorm). For the rest, just go straight bard. Make sure you don't pick any spells that require you to target anybody!

I think I like the Blind fighting and Scorpion sense set up for a more authentic Ray Charles. It's not the desert, but as hot and dry as the Delta can be, it might as well be a desert lol.

Good combo with Vow of Poverty, although he didn't deliberately choose that.
The soul powers can form a "piano" somehow, whatever the heck a piano is where ever he is.

to do it with no items, required figuring out how the trinity could do one of Tsuyo's UMD check routines for Autohypnosis.
And perhaps a Knowledge(future) check to figure that out.
