Here is the scoop.

A warforge who was constructed using the oak tree of a dryad (forcefully of course) , the dryad who took the pain and essentially played dead, avoiding detection of her captors waited for the warforged to come off the production line.

The warforge himself, being created out of the oak had been in tune with the dryad (The warforge retained the oaks awareness of the dryad) and thanks to the magics that forged the warforge the oak still retained its life and home for the dryad. Not to mention it was incredibly simple for the warforge to be charmed as the dryad was able to get into his head :P

Now comes the hard part. I think this roleplay idea is amazing and I am trying to find a good class combination for the drow + the warforged.

For starters I need to make the warforged strong enough to be able to protect the dryad ( As damage to the oak can damage the dryad ) I plan on taking the obese flaw + feat ( a 1200 pound warforged is needed for holding an entire oak tree , not to mention the fact that her ability to charm humanoids into the oak tree as her servants/prisoners = an incredible convienience when you start abducting knowledgable people into the warforge.

So im basically trying to come up with a class combination for the two that will maximize the dryads ability to charm ( not to mention some clever uses for a person inside a person , aka a touch attack while the warforge grapples )

i was thinking a grappler /rogue combo.

Warforge grapples from behind, dryad then pops out to stab or charm.

OR

warforge uses many small metal reinforced trees as his weapons ( a tree with roots wrapped around a stone = maces, where the dryad could use the weapon to create her dimension door to teleport back into the warforge.

Any thoughts on class selections that take advantage of a situation like this are appreciated.

Ive asked around and Ive never seen and everyone ive talked to have never heard of a combonation like this before. And This seems like it would be fun to roleplay with the right classes

(Also, the third party member is a shugenja and dead set on being a shugenja, however has not picked his element yet, so keep this in mind when helping to decide on the classes of the dryad/warforge)

Probably the reason you haven't seen this idea before is because it generally doesn't work, but I suppose you could treat the dryad as either some kind of high-powered familiar or cohort or something.

This combination of your's seems like it's going to require some hefty house-ruling.

yup so far the rules are,

can only charm 1 person per day , +1 more person @ lvl 4 and 1 more @ lvl 10 to a maximum of 3 people charmed per day.

The warforged must essentially drink ( water the tree) and obtain sunlight or the dryad takes 1 con damage per day that the warforge does not obtain these

25% extra damage from fire

however the dryad can communicate with the warforge at anytime while she is inside him.

also the player who is playing the dryad is -2con +2 cha stat modifier

and anything that effects the tree underneath the armor harms the dryad.

Finally the total weight i can carry has not been determined yet ( as the dryad has its own little world inside of the tree)

First off: I love this idea. I don't know how much CO can be done, but for pure rp use...wow. I think I'll have to use it for something, it's just that awesome.

That said, the Dryad may want to look into Artificer...or any casting class that buffs for fun. Hide inside the warforged and buff it while it fights. Knowing the Repair line of spells would be incredible.

ya the RP is amazing :P

The other two members of our little troupe are playing as adventurers who had been charmed by the dryad but were granted their freedom in exchange they come along.

Basically im taking the loved one flaw for the warforged , its not like the dryad can wander far anyway :P

So essentially the dryad is the party leader of our little troupe of 4 ( 3 of us are roommates actually, the dryad happens to be my gf surprise surprise)

and its going to be an 8 person party (rather large game) and the other 4 happen to all be roommates.

So from a RP point of view we are going to have 4 confused players when one player from our group just doesnt seem to be in game :P (A.k.a inside of me) not to mention the possibilities of being able to charm our allies into my body for safety/smuggling reasons ;)

That's just evil, I like it!

The dryad happens to be my gf surprise surprise

Shocking. But really, that's actually kind of sweet.

On another note...she likes D&D?

I hate you. :P

XD :P

most people do when they meet her XD

but ya, as to what class the dryad could take, we are starting to think of a caster, what better way to do something then when i rush in to strike she can reach out and do a touch attack of sorts, or when i do my usual leap away after i strike, she can cast a ranged spell from my chest or something.

Otherwise we were thinking of just a buffer :P

for example she could cats grace, bulls strength, and enlarge before battle :p all from inside me

That's what I'd do. It's hard to stop the buffer from inside the buffee...

Artificer has a perticular appeal, given that it has all the repairing abilities...but Bard would work. She's got the Cha to do it, so maybe that would be a good use. Maybe two levels of Paladin (or a varient) for the Cha to saves, but I'd lean against it. Go with Bard or Artificer, or maybe Sorc...hmmm...food for though, ne?

Be aware that Juggernaut 3, you gain: Construct Perfection II. That will make you immune to mind influencing effects. That means the Dryad's charm on you ends. Now the dryad's riding inside a warforged who may be a little ****** he's been manipulated.

Ok heres the deal

The dryad is going sorc specializing in ranged spells

I however will be going to be the immovable wall tank mofo :P

I rolled for stats and was kinda unlucky , my roles were

16, 16, 15, 12, 11, 10 to distribute however i want

So basically i need something to absorb as much damage as possible

Only condition i have is i need the Willing Deformity(Obesity) and a warforged

I remember seeing some builds for basically what im looking for but i cannot seem to find them anymore

Look at eberron campaign setting: page 127: Livewood. it's what you want. things made from it can still house a dryad if she lived in the tree.

And there is a feat that makes you mostly wood. I think it is in races of Eberron.
