Hello everyone.

I'll start a campagn with some friends and we want to build some powerfull heroes.

So I want to build a wrestler. Can you give me some advices or builds allready made?

I've heard of a Goliath monk1/Barbarian1/psychic warrior17

with that feats : Quicken power, Earth's Embrace, Sun School, Practised Manifester

and that powers : Grip of Iron, Expansion, Strength of my Enemy, Psionic Dimension Door, Catapsi, Form of Doom.

Is that good? Can I do better?

Thank you.

There are worse methods (like the Reaping Mauler PrC).

Myself, I like going Totemist instead of PsyWar, but Grip of Iron and Expansion will stand you in good stead on the wrestling front. Also consider using Claws of the Beast, since you can use natural weapons in a grapple.

What bothers me is your low BAB (+13). Also, make sure grappling is not the only thing your character can, because often it is not a viable strategy. If I were to play a grappler, I'd play a druid.

Lesser duergar half minotaur.  (total la= +1).

Barb-1/ fighter-4/ frost rager-5

Avoid Reaping Mauler. it is a trap of purest suck. it prevents you from using size to your advAntage, and size is the best way to go for grappleing bar none. OA, UE, and Sand have some tasty feats. one of them has a better version of reaping mauler's capstone ability as a feat. another auto deals unarmed damage when you maintain a grapple, so get some nice gaintlets and net cutter spikes and go to town.

Black Blood Cultist from Champions of Ruin.  Get in a grapple and auto-hit with all of your natural weapons (including rending while raging or if you've reached 10th level).  Still only 3/4 BAB, but at least you get 2 good saves, a D12 HD, and DR5/silver plus natural weapons out of the deal.  Oh, and Improved Grapple as a bonus feat.

Take Shape Soulmeld (Garillion Arms) or 2 levels of Totemist for more grappling fun.

Working in 7 levels of Cleric casting somehow can open up Divine Power so you don't need to worry about BAB holding you back.

Goliath Barbarian 1 (Bear Totem is best for focusing on grappling, but Lion or regular work as well), Unarmed Swordsage 1, Cleric 7, Black-Blood Cultist 10 works out well.  You end up with the raging ability of an 11th level barbarian, the ability to potentialy Persist Divine Power, Weapon Focus in your Unarmed Strikes and claws (you did choose Tiger Claw, right?) Improved Grapple, and the ability to auto-hit with every natural weapon (claws, bite, and unarmed strike plus rend) on a successful grapple check.

Alternatively, Goliath Barbarian 1/Psychic Warrior 4/Cleric 3/Psychic Theruge 4/Black-Blood Cultist 8.  Your DR drops to 3/silver and you have to be raging (as a 9th level barbarian) in order to rend, but now you also have 8th level PsyWar manifesting to boost your grapple.

Yeah, Druids can be good just for the sheer amount of grappling checks you can make in a round or set up.  Aside from the obvious Wildshaping, animal companion, and animal summoned friends, just off the top of my head...  (All from Spell Compendium)

Kelpstrand (level 2): Ranged touch with eventually several strands at a bonus that starts out modest and gets very high as you level (BAB + CL + Wis mod, so many levels it's growing by +2).  Good to focus fire on one guy or disperse on a small group.

Entangling Staff (level 3): Swift, each attack with staff can entangle foes.  Best used with "Bite of the x" spells if your DM is sane and doesn't let you benefit from them while wildshaped.

Spiritjaws (level 3): It's like Spiritual Weapon, but can make grapple and pin attempts at decent bonus instead of attacking for damage each round.

And a grapple-maul with you and your companion both carrying Produce Flame on each melee attack (thank you, Share Spell!) is a pretty nasty lower level trick, too.

I don't have a build for this yet, but I would build a strong caster actually. There are several methods to get Divine Power set on you persistently so youwouldn't have to worry about BAB, and if you had the levels for it, you could cast multiple auras on you, like Acid Sheath, Fire Shield, etc. If you put the right Metamagic feats on those also, you could do a ton of damage, just by holding on to someone.

I actually just started thinking about a build like this two days ago, which is why I don't have one. I was looking through Gish ideas, that were emphasizing caster over gish classes, and when looking at spells that I could use for some, I was thinking it might be good just to play a caster that was a bruiser and just had all these energy auras up and would just grab and hold on. I am thinking a Dwarf right now, though a larger race would certainly be better for the grappling portion at least, and with something like this you might not have to worry about Save DCs much at all.

Don't forget the Body Blades spell (SC) for some more damage while grappling.

You may want to look into the feat Tashalatora from Secrets of Sarlona. It is an awesome feat for any monk/psychic warrior builds.
