Again and again I find myself coming back to this strategy. After hearing about the Gnome Quickrazor and looking at the full description in Races of Stone, it seems that this simple (not to be confused with simple from the simple/martial/exotic categories) exotic weapon solves the dilemma of sheathing a weapon. Normally, however, this choice of weapon would make a lot of your Iaijutsu Master benefits (which trigger off of wielding a katana) worthless. In E6, however, the highest level is 6 and so Iaijutsu Master is not even a consideration. While charging clearly does more damage in E6 (I can get charge damage to at least 600), Iaijutsu is a simple concept to work with and shouldn't anger the DM like one-shotting the Big Bad Evil Guy will. For E6, I present the following (and acknowledge that it is not yet complete, as I will go into further detail about shortly): Human [Crane Clan, Kakita Family] Fighter 2/Something (with full base attack bonus) 4 Feats: Level 1: Exotic Weapon Proficiency (Gnome Quickrazor) Human: Power Attack - Iaijutsu Fighter 1: Martial Study (Clinging Shadow Strike) Fighter 2: Martial Stance (Child of Shadow) Level 3: Shadow Blade Level 6: Gloom Razor Now, it would benefit this build to maximize Iaijutsu Focus. The traits Illiterate and Focused can each grant +1, charisma modifiers can be pumped to +7, competence modifiers can boost your score significantly, and 9 skill ranks is a decent start in itself. Item Familiar would help this build a bit (+9 more on Iaijutsu Focus checks as well as an equal boost to Tumble for Gloom Razor use) so I am trying to find a way to work that into the character without using flaws (since in E6 a flaw will never be worth it since this build could do what it tries to do at ECL 6 + 5000xp by pushing Shadow Blade and Gloom Razor each back 1 feat). Any suggestions for extra feats besides those from Flaws and Pacts [Fiendish Codex II] are welcome (as are other ways of making your opponent Flat-Footed if they are simpler and more consistent - Sapphire Nightmare Blade may actually be simpler though that is debatable since it requires a fairly maximized Concentration but it is less consistent since it triggers only every other round since you must recover the maneuver). And, yes, this character will carry marbles but some enemies do have 5 or more ranks in balance.
