Right now I'm playing around with different ideas for a build for it and I sort of like the idea of an old man like the fellow from Moby Dick. He's an old sailor sort who's traveled all around the world from the Orient to the Jungles and from it he's developed a very unique assortment of combat tactics. Right now this is what I have Classes: Factotum 3/Beguiler 5/Warblade 1/Magical Trickster 1/Iaijutsu Master 5/Rogue 1/Bloodstorm Blade 4. The idea operates under the premise that you are indeed allowed to Iaijutsu strike with a throwing weapon. It also relies heavily on the skill trick (I'll edit the name in when I get back to my books) that allows a person to automatically make an attack of opportunity. My question for this build is if there's a better class I could be using for arcane spells to fuel recovering my skill trick than beguiler. I was tempted by duskblade for the +5 ab but I was uncertain if it would matter since I'm making flat-footed attacks anyways. I recall there was something about warlock invocations qualifying as spells(I might be confusing this this with just having spell caster levels. I tend to do that.) in which case warlock 1 would easily fuel any and all arcane needs so if anyone can post a yay or nay for that as well that would rock. |

I can imagine few things as badass as chucking a massive barbed shaft of pain through your enemy only to rip it out along with his entrails right before chucking it right through his other kidney. |

(not in that order) At level 9 I'll be chucking two poons per round as a standard, +12/+12 doing +4d6 damage each for improved skirmish. Building him around ranged threat/mageslayer. Anyone tries to move/cast within 15 feat and they get a poon through the gut. The last 5 levels are still undecided whether I'll PrC or continue with scout. |

Its almost as much fun as being an anthro squid and ruining everyone's day with the cumulative penalties from the harpoon. Or tie a chain around the harpoon (clear it with your DM on whatever penalties you take for doing so), throw it at somebody, and then shapeshift into a chain devil and animate the chain, and repeatedly rip it out and stick it back in, all the while throwing more harpoons with chains. |

Ever since Gorfnad helped me come up with a sweet warblade shadowlord build I've been trying to find a way to do telepouncing with a crusader. Auto-Recover mechanic would mean no need to rest from your shadow hopping. You'd need a way to blow alot of maneuvers at once though. It's just such a slick mechanic I can't help but want to play with it. Edit: Now I just need to find a way to put two of my favorite things together. Telflammar Shadowlord and Bear Warrior. Nothing says "I **** awsome" like a shadow pouncing grizzly. |
