#1 Senevri Mar 04, 2010 15:46:01	Yeah, okay. This is mostly old stuff, but it intrigues me, so re-hashing some of it. Mainly I'm thinking, "how far can we get if we're restricted to, say, Expert class?" *edit* Never, ever, ever, paste elsewhere except the HTML window. When will I learm? Question: Anyone knows a relevant quote to defining, what is a spellcaster? Keep in mind, you can regain the transferred spells, just not a single 4th level slot. Also, what happens if you make a single-use item with this spell and use it to transfer this? I guess, ideally a 1/day wondrous item, costing 4x7x400gp, or 8200 GP. Now, of course, the recipient never ever casts the spells they've been granted. Instead, they pick reserve feats, and qualify for prestige classes. Available: - Touch of Healing, - Mitigate Suffering,   - Acidic Splatter,  - Clutch of Earth, - Fiery Burst, - Shadow Veil, - Sunlight Eyes, - Winter's Blast. - CRAFT feats. Tricky, but Scribe Scroll at least is available. Not sure if it can be actually used, though. They should also qualify for other things requiring a base minimum of casting ability. - Black Flame Zealot, which is useless - Contemplative - Seeker of the Misty Isle GETTING a domain gives you a spell list, regardless of any slots or actual casting ability. Extra Slot requires caster level 4. Tricky to access. You gain one extra spell slot in your daily allotment, at any level up to one lower than the highest level of spell you can currently cast.
#2 Senevri Mar 04, 2010 19:24:21	Ooh, yeah. Imbue Familiar + Embrace/Shun reserve feat. Your raven doesn't need Alertness, it needs Fiery Burst! admittedly, you'll be spending two slots every day, and the feat is non-functional during other times, but still... In other news, Wizard 4, Master Specialist 1, Loremaster 8, shadowcraft mage 3, Wyrm Wizard 4, Loremaster +1, Wizard +1 Wyrm Wizard picks up Transcend Mortality and True Rez. you pick up ignore material components on epic,  and you can cast transcend mortality with 100% real shadow contingent free true rez happening after you're dust. At level 22. (earliest you can pick ignore material components. I have some trouble making Transcend Mortality lasting full day at this point. Probably need to get some metamagic cheapeners/higher level slots... Greater Draconic Ritual Old Loredrake Kobold can naturally... so, yeah. *edit* Copy/pasting plain text doesn't work. Nice job, WotC. Oh, yeah. Imbue with Spell Ability to qualify for a class which requires divine casting, but can progress any casting. Arcane caster Lord of the Tides go go!
#3 awaken_D_M_golem Mar 07, 2010 15:31:51	I brought up Imbue spell, one time in regard to early qualifying. Caelic didn't like it. I thought it worked. Nobody else commented. So : (1) ... Get a Cohort or Thrall(herd) Cleric. (2) ... Have him cast Imbue basically for you. (3) ... Walk around with the spell, doing nothing with it ... it sticks around. (4) ... profit I like it.
