| #4NiteCyperNov 04, 2008 18:40:03 | Quotes (sources lost in the archiving) Humilliation ignores SR and DR :P Wait, what was I thinking? Here: forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?t=4918... Am I correct in assuming that we can 'ass chain' by having person A jump into person B's butt, then having person B jumping into C's button, and so forth? "You wish me to RAZE your Strength? Your wish is my command!" Profession: Stalker My last game allowed a virtually unlimited number of flaws. Most characters had around four or five. Mine had the most at seven. Party was an ubercharger / dungeoncrasher (me), a words of creation bard / sublime chord, a hyperbuffer archivist, a chaingun thrower rogue, and a fonts-o-freaking-inspiration factotum / chameleon. The stone age? Is your spellbook made of rocks? I still think you should go for his mom. Get your frustration out the old fashioned way. *reads NiteCyper's CustServ experience and thumps head on wall* And here I am with my college degree and I can't get a job in the customer service field. You know... if you rigged up some kind of weird inverted cone thingee and wore it as a belt, that might work. Or you could just stand in a sack all the time, like you're in a sack race. :P It's also hilarious enough that some DMs might actually allow it. GIGANTIC BLOCK OF TEXT I look at that block and just say "no." I honestly have no clue as to the purpose of this thread. Mind giving the slow readers a summary? A thread I posted a long time ago that got hella funny responses forums.gleemax.com/wotc_archive/index.ph... Five attacks a round? At level two? Wow, that's a toughee. (Made a shaky character take a -2 on a balance check, cause it just makes F-ing sense) "Good to know the player's handbook is banned, then." GM: "D:" I'd rather just give them two feats rather than having a bunch of Murky-Eyed Noncombatants (or Murky-Eyed Shakers, or whatever). Why is this here? Kill your character ASAP, and play Druid20. it made everyone else at the table, including the DM, think I was a bad-ass (to the point where for the longest, most people in my group thought Fighters were the uber-broken core class and that druids sucked). At one point, the DM and I had an argument which ended in his declaration that I was a just a powergamer, my Paladin/Monk was unbalancing, and I could either leave, or make a new character, sticking to core. So I rolled up a Druid. Thank you to you both. The DM didn't think it was very funny though, especially since at that point I quit roleplaying and optimized solely to make a point. After a few sessions, we had another talk, I got my old character back, and he agreed that Paladin/Monks are not overpowered. I'm a human who's armor doesn't rust. Big friggin' whoop since that's one whole monster and two or three spells I no longer have to fear, unless the DM decides to allow rust monsters to breed like rabbits. from Wizards Community > Dungeons & Dragons > D&D Worlds > Eberron: Eberron Lore > Warforged adamantine body feat and magic. forums.gleemax.com/wotc_archive/index.ph... Did you just pull a NiteCyper? No, wait, your post is longer than five words. My bad. ^ At least he spelt my name right! ^ Warforged Swordsage (forums.gleemax.com/wotc_archive/index.ph...) thread. Jabs at me. Preceding quote is taken from the thread. Flash to next scene: six wild-eyed, crazed adventurers cutting down goblin men, women and children alike in the village square while chanting "X...P...!" in a zombiefied voice. And then there's needless 3.5 changes in general (like how a 3.5 archer can shoot into a crowd of children to pick off a frog, and there is 0% chance that he could hit a child, because 3.5 no longer has rules for striking cover...) forums.gleemax.com/wotc_archive/index.ph..., link to preceding post's thread It's much the same as being a Wizard with Faerie Mysteries Initiate, except with less erotic dancing. I'd still rather be a dragonborn, and use your LA buyoff for something that's actually worth a crap... If you're using Naberius, simply shape and bind the Silvertongue Mask to your Throat Chakra and *bam*, instant noodles. "Whoa, this mirror hurts my eyes." "Try to speak with your character more like someone from the time period would speak." says the DM to the first time gamer. "Uh, ok, I'll try. Hurts my eyes, this mirror does." This is brainpoison. Fighter 3.5: No, it can’t be! (Dies) Fighter X: Finally the fighter class has been fixed. Mwahahahahahahaha! You know what gets me the most about this? If true, not only does it mean that the economy of Hyrule runs on the trade of the souls of the freshly slain, but that the average mom & pop corner store is absolutely okay with this fact. 'hay evil guyz thar go kill 'em here is phat lewtz' 'lol ok' Posting matters not. Look at me. Judge me by my posts, do you? Hmm? Hmm. And well you should not. For my ally is the d20, and a powerful ally it is. Gaming creates it, makes it grow. Its energy surrounds us and binds us. Luminous beings are we, not this crude character sheet. You must feel the d20 around you; here, between you, me, the Dungeon Master's Guide, the Player's Handbook, everywhere, yes. Even between the 4th edition and the White Box Edition. No problem, I'll just Dimension Door out and regroup." But no, that didn't happen, because for the rest of his actions the Monk got to 1) Pin me, 2) Disarm me, 3) Deal Damage. All this because the DM said that the entry in the PHB didn't explicitly say that he only gets standard actions to perform these things I didn't bother reading the entry, but the usual suggestions are these: 1) Play a druid. 2) Play a cleric. 3) Buy a Candle of Invocation 4) Buy Dust of Sneezing and Choking If you're not a sufficiently experienced DM to foresee this (and remember, every DM was once a first-time DM) then it's better to take the player aside and talk to him about what you'd like changed than to devote the world to screwing him. First, torture for about a day, and feed the victim's extremities to a demon. Make the ritual last at least an hour, conduct it on a desecrated and unhallowed altar, make sure it's attended by more than 100 followers and a fiend, and make sure it's a 16+ HD celestial. All this should get you another +19 bonus on the check! |
