Immunity build needed

I need a build that has immunity to almost evertyping. In the past 2 weeks Meyer DM has killed off a char and a party member killed off the second one thanks to energy admixture delay fireball DM and of course the all mighty flame strike from the player. Yes I rolled ones on my saves but I would really like to maybe not have to worry about system shock deaths, or being turned into a pile of jelly any ideas.

Books are limited but here is a better way to do this I think
books allowed
complete series except champions
PHB2
PHB
forgotten realms
races of faerun
races of stone
miniture handbook
wheel of time ?
expanded psionics

think that covers it
any help with an immune build that can function would be great

Sounds like you just need a build that combines Mettle & Evasion. I had a Scout/Favored Soul/Pious Templar (modified) that my DM hated because he ended up with every save being the second highest in the group (out of 5-7 PCs), mettle, evasion, and Improved(?) Uncanny Dodge.

If you DMM persist and ocular spell you can persist delay death and beast land ferocity and never die from hp damage.

What level were you? Energy damage is pretty easy to block at the levels where metamagic + Delayed Blast Fireball can show up. (Also, Flame Strike is far from "almighty" - it's pretty weaksauce.)

Daedhaed's suggestion is one of the better ways to not die from HP damage; you'll need to take precautions against antimagic but that's about it.

Half black dragon (SRD) war troll (Faerun) is immune to death by HP damage as well (Regeneration that doesn't take normal damage from anything except acid, but you're immune to acid).
Buy a few Third Eye: Clarity (XPH) to cover the nastier mind-affecting effects; they're cheaper than Mind Blank items (though you shouldn't go without those!).
Mettle (helps cover your Fortitude save) is probably easiest to get through a short Hexblade dip, although I don't know how effective the other abilities will be in this class (They're tied to your Charisma.)

For equipment, see here.

Yeah the evasion and mettle are great but when you role 1's and take double damage because you jumped into the spell they really do not work. That is why I want an immune build if some can not hurt me I can not die that is the thought process behind this one but those are all great ideas you have given me I maybe able to work with this a little.starting in war troll or maybe half war troll as the damn DM has said no large char he dose not like them to much damage. Tell that to 500 HP fire ball he hit me with.

War troll faerun is it races or main. Book ?

What the... you don't take double damage on a 1. You just automatically fail the save. You take full damage from the spell (instead of half or none); not double. Your DM is screwing you over.

You still didn't answer any of my questions from before, most notably what level are you

Google around, man. We've given you all the information you need, multiple times over, and frequently the resources are already out there.

As mentioned you don't take double damage on a natural 1 from a saving throw.  Perhaps there is something out that that will allow you to reroll your failed save or even prevent a 1 from automatically failing.

Tell what your DM?  That he is "cheating" as far as we can figure out according to the RAW.  I'm REALLY curious how you get hit for 500 hp by a fireball.  I mean looking at a MAXIMIZED Meteor Swarm (a 12th-level spell!) you're maybe looking at 32d6 total damage which maxes out at only 192 damage before resistance is considered and assuming all four balls strike.  I guess it could also be Empowered (another +2 spell levels) for an addition 56 damage on average but that's still far short.

I guess getting hit by a critical hitting Maximized Disintegrate spell could deal 480 from a 20th-level caster but that one of those ever popular Save or Die spells which you need to figure out.

As said before, not how that works.

Sounds like your DM just blasts you with constant super fire damage, buy a ring of fire immunity.

Also, really to the point it sounds like your DM wants to keep killing you. No rules loopholes can stop that.

Isn't wartroll mm3 or 4? I didn't think there was one in faerun.

MM3, you're right. I incorrectly remembered it as Faerun.

Steven: He did say Admixture, which doubles the spell's energy damage (although it's of a different type); he might also have thought ahead and used Energy Substitution on Creaking Cacophony (Spell Compendium) or some similar vulnerability effect, which would add +50% of the final Fire damage.

All that said, though, the numbers ("500") lead me to two possible verdicts:
1) Hyperbole.
2) DM skullduggery.

Frostbite and Sandstorm each has a spell/ritual that gives you immunity to ice and fire respectively, though I don't remember their names of the top of my head, though I think they are Lv. 8 or 9 spells on the Cleric and Druid lists.  There's a couple of classes that give immunity to lightning, but I'm not sure of anything beyond what's mentioned that gives acid immunity, much less Sonic or Force (aside from half-dragon (Black, Emerald, and Amethest(sp?) respectively)).

I was looking at a Goliath half troll that will give me a lot of con bonus to HP then working from there. But I was also looking at an élan and the élan capability to reduce damage by 1 power point equals 4 damage then something with damage reduction and lots of HP to cap it off. This seems the easiest but a half troll goliath swinging a large weapon doing a ton of damage would be fun too

Ok I think I have come up with a good start

Half Bronze Dragon Stonechild
Stats areas follows
Str +16 Dex - Con +10 Int +4 Wis - Cha +2 -2 so it washes
Natural AC +8 2 claw attacks 1 bite attack breath weapon 1/day for 6D8 damage ref for 1/2 10 +1/2 HD +con mod
Immune to : sleep paralysis electricity acid and poison
Darkvision 60'
All of the above I was able to figure out now the part that seems a bit ify to me and not sure how it works
It says your racial HD go up to a max of a D 12 from the half dragon well the Stonechild only has 2 racial HD and the half dragon has non but the half dragon and the Stonechild both have a level adjustment one is of a +4 and the other is a + 3.
Now it also says that the Stonechild gets a BAB of +2 and saves of 3 3 3 and skills of 8+into 4 and again a 8+int a little later on in the levels.
The dragon says you gain skill points as a 6+intx3+3

Not sure how this works as if you only get the 2D8 HD + con for HP this dose not seem very good to means a BAB of 2 for a creature that is a LA 9 ummm no so how dose all this work out ?

I'm not too familiar with the Stonechild so I assume it is a 2 HD outsider with a +4 LA based on what I read hear.

Now adding Half-Dragon to a Stonechild brings the normal 2d8 HD up to 2d10.  The change in type does mean a reduction in available skill points.  Of course all the HD and LA add up so you're looking at 2 HD Dragon with +7 net LA = ECL 9 character.  That's still the +2 BAB and +3 all base saves.  Now you say this is "not very good" and you are completely correct about that.  The +16 STR helps your attack bonus make up losing 7 points of BAB but you still have the poor BAB to deal with.  +10 CON means a bonus 5 hp/level which is almost like getting another d10 every time you level but with only 2 HD it will be some time before it makes up the hp loss.  The higher INT doesn't come close to covering the lost skill points.

Ok so if I get this right if I take the char I describe in the post and take 3 levels of barbarian and 4 fighter or so then I would have a BAB of 9/4 BAB the saves of barbarian fighter and the +3 to,all the saves. Now for a level 16 char that is not that great but to get more attacks Is not that hard twf, tree haste Cleve ect but it is the saves Iam a little worried about if I could get immune to fire and cold some how then all the elemental dmage I need not worry about but I can not figure out how to get that yet any ideas

With the HD they change to D10 but do I get a D10 for the 9 levels of ecl? If so I can I can work with that but if I just get the 2D10+5 per level plus the class HD I take that would be very very sucky and would not be worth it at all but like I said if they are D10x9+5x9+class HD+5x7

Ok so with that there goes that idea having a ecl 16 with only 9 HD is not worth any kind of LA unless you are immune to everything and with this there is not a full immunity o well back to the basic builds again

That character would have 2d10+3d12+4d10 HD.  It's BAB would be +9/+4 with the itterative attack.  Saves would be FOR +10, REF & WILL +5.

Now for a 16th-level martial character the BAB is obviously really low but the saves would actually be about what would be expected.  The extra CON over that many HD would be an additional 45 hp which amounts to just over 6hp/point of LA taken which isn't good but isn't horrible either.

This character would be "missing" seven levels of class features and the general feats at 12th and 15th HD plus the ability increases at 12th and 16th.  That is a lot to give up but at least with enough HD in front of them the LA isn't nearly as crippling.

Ok so what about the extra ability scores you get at every 4 levels would it be 2 points or just the one the way I see it 2RHD is like taking 2 levels in a paragon class so the 2RHD + the 7 levels would be 9 levels giving me 2 attribute points. Is this right? Wrong? Or can I make the argument and maybe get this for this char ? If this is right or I can swing this I might just do this char up something like this would be the out come

Half Dragon Bronze Stonechild
Class: not deturmanded yet
Str 32
Dex 15
Con 30
Int 17
Wis 14
Cha 12
HP 10+10 + 1D10+10+ class HD+ 70
That is 90 HP before class dice and something like fighter 7 could net with max rolls 70 HP for a total of 160
A barbarian a little better with 84 for 174 max + the raging effect of 2 HP per level for a 188
Not to bad but that BAB is the killer the saves are not to bad

Could get 4 attacks with the 2WF tree and a 2 hosted weapons that would give you 6
So lets see BAB is 9/4 with a +11 for 20/15 haste gives you 20/20/15 TWF gives you 18/18/18/13 Gtwf gives you 14/14/14/14/9 I think that is right and the extra attack from the second haste weapon in off hand would add another 9 I think it may not stack witha +11 to damage each hit not to bad I guess that is before magic items

A half dragon stonechild starts at 2 HD.  When it hits 4 and 8 HD it will get an additional ability point at each of those 'levels' although it does NOT get anything for the LA.  With your seven levels you have a total of 9HD so you should have four feats based on HD; one for 1st-level and then another for 3rd, 6th, and 9th HD.

As for you build idea those ability scores seem high unless you're including treasure increases as well.  You should have 16th-level wealth as LA DOES count towards that.  As I see things the starting array is 16,15,18 (+2 levels),13,14,12 which equate to PB 49 which I can consider borderline GOD stats as they are almost twice the standard level.  Sorry I'm an  when it comes to ability scores but when I look at an array like that I'm effectively throwing on another +1 or +2 LA to your character as you should be that much better.  If the stats include a couple +4 items and may a +2 or two then they may become more reasonable but they aren't listed although you may have them.

I haven't got a clue why you'd want to go with TWF for such a high STR build.  You basic weapon attack would be at +9/+4 before looking at the added bonuses.  I'll point out that you could supplement that with up to THREE natural attacks at +4 each (bite/claw/claw) WITHOUT spending a single feat for it although you are most likely giving up one or even two claw attacks for the weapon.  Lets say you forget about TWF but with haste you could be attacking at 20/20/15 (weapon)/15 (bite)/15(claw) which is significantly better than your GTWF mess would give you and it requires two fewer feats.

I like the idea of the natural attacks one problem the DM dose not except natural attacks with martal weapons so you are not allowed to have your weapon attacks and your natural attack DM has his own crappy nitches he likes to do like double damage on a 1 you roll for a save and you get natural or weapon attacks but not both witch is BS to all of us but he is the one running it not us but maybe I can try it and see what I can get.

Ok I have another question about the Stonechild and the monster class levels

It gives you a starting package of
+2 con +2 int -2 cha
Medium
Immune to acid and poison
Darkvision 60'

Then lv 1 it gives 1D8 HD +1 BAB saves of 2. 2. 2 and feat
At level 2 it gives you 1D8 HD and so on for the next level it is 1D8 HD then at level 4 5 6 you get 2D8 HD so the BAB and the saves are clear and easy to figure out the problem is this as you can see each level you get more HD but it stats that you only get 2 HD in the description of the Stonechild. So is it a total of 10D8 or just the 2D8 if this is the case then why did they have all levels with a HD indicated

As I've said I'm not sure about the Stonechild but my guess is that it is a 2 HD outsider and any additional HD you see are either class levels added or an advanced Stonechild.

It sucks that your DM appears to have little grasp of how the rules are intended to work.  While using manufactured weapons most likely takes away a natural attack part of what makes up the half-dragon's LA are those natural attack which at the very least usually means adding a bite attack.  I think I've already commented about the foolishness of automatically doubling damage on a natural 1 save.
