| #1mcbamfMay 25, 2008 1:13:00 | So, I'm about to play a Legacy Era game and I decided to play an ex-Imperial Knight. Human Str 14, Dex 14, Con 12, Int 10, Wis 14, Cha 14 (30 Point Buy) Feat, Talent, Technique 1. Scout- Force Sensitivity,Force Training, Starting Feats, Fringe Savant 2. Jedi- Lightsaber Proficiency, Deflect 3. Jedi- SF UtF, Skill Training Acrobatics 4. Jedi- Block 5. Jedi- Acrobatic Strike 6. Soldier- Force Training, Melee Smash 7. Soldier- Power Attack 8. Soldier- Stunning Strike 9. J. Knight- Force Training, Djem So 10. J. Knight- F.P. Recovery 11. J. Knight- Soresu 12. J. Knight- Triple Crit, F.P. Recovery 13. J. Master- (Serenity), Equilibrium 14. J. Knight- Shii Cho In this somewhat complete build, I decided to focus on using the Cortosis Gauntlet to full effect. My essential strategy is using Fringe Savant to gain force points to fuel Djem So to activate off of a successful (or not a successful) Cortosis to lightsaber deactivation. The general idea is to deactivate the enemy's lightsaber with the gauntlet and then hit them immediately with Djem So. There lightsaber will be off so no blocking will occur. Also, to help the unarmed attack that is required to beat the enemy's attack to cause deactivation, I grabbed Acrobatic Strike. Round one will hopefully go something like this: Win Initiative, Use acrobatics to move through the enemy threat (granting the bonus from Acrobatic Strike), ready the standard to use the gauntlet. If the enemy lightsaber wielder acts, you now have a +5 to your unarmed attack to beat their attack. Of course, then you employ the chain of nastiness I stated above. It's also nice to pick up some Negate Energies for when this occurs. Let me know what you think of the build and if you have any suggestions. |
