| #1demon_paladinApr 06, 2009 20:10:58 | I'm going to be playing in an Eberron campaign, and My DM is letting me use the Planar Sheperd. I promised I wouldn't abuse it, and if anything becomes a problem, he's more than free to nerf it. For my build, I had an idea of combining Impure Prince and Planar Sheperd linked to Xoriat. Now, I want to get as many levels in of each class as possible. Has anybody done anything like this before? Any advice would be helpful. The DM hasn't set a level for the upcoming campaign, so I'm more interested in just brainstorming. Also, for flavor reasons, my DM is allowing Gatekeeper Initiate to apply for Planar Sheperd feat pre-reqs. For the race, I was considering Daelky Half-Blood or a human with abberation blood. |

| #3dr_rocktopusApr 06, 2009 23:43:48 | Tell me more about impure prince? I'm curious. I've read it, but it made no impression. Can I ask you for a CO Diary? |
| #4hijaxxApr 07, 2009 3:30:58 | necer heard about impure prince(well, heard, but never got to ask for the source or what it did). source? features? |
| #5cruApr 07, 2009 3:49:27 | Impure prince fights aberrations and in the same time becomes more like them; from Magic of Eberron. Full BAB, 4/6 casting, expanded spell list, can use symbionts, gains favored enemy aberrations. To expand on the aberration theme, look into Lords of Madness for the aberrant feats series (aberrant wild shape). Also, somewhere was an interesting fusion of aberrant dragonmarks and aberrant feats... |
| #6hijaxxApr 07, 2009 4:24:42 | how 'bout taking fleshwarper to get more of that 'i attach stuff to my body' feeling? |
| #7innabinderApr 07, 2009 7:14:49 | Abusing Impure Prince for Fun and Profit. |
| #8hijaxxApr 07, 2009 7:19:47 | I instinctively knew what that link was before i clicked it. |
| #9dr_rocktopusApr 07, 2009 14:38:30 | So that's why little bells were ringing. |
| #10demon_paladinApr 07, 2009 15:07:47 | I'm aware of the LoP's dirty tricks, I just don't want to break the game. As far as a CO diary, I'd be more than happy to, if the campaign gets off the ground. The DM likes to put things off, and he already has two campaigns lagging. As far as the prgression, I wanted to start with Impure Prince for flavor reasons, then move into Planar Sheperd. What about the skill requirments for Impure prince? Are there any feats, racial sub. levels or alt. class features I should be aware of? What about race? I was thinking Half-blood for flavor and free Symbiont Mastery, but to get the aberation blood feat tree, you must be humanoid. |
| #11dr_rocktopusApr 07, 2009 15:28:00 | May I direct your attention to the back of the fiend folio where madness waits, patient and smiling? Grafts, symbiotes, and things with no reasonable disadvantage. Yay! |
| #12demon_paladinApr 08, 2009 14:56:38 | Hmmm, I may have to look into the Fiend Folio. That was near the end of 3.0 yes? |

| #14CantripNApr 08, 2009 15:23:53 | There's also a PrC in Lords of Madness that's quite good for an anti-abberation Druid - Abolisher. Druid 5 / Planar Shephard 10 / Abolisher 5 is quite decent. |
| #15demon_paladinApr 08, 2009 21:18:55 | There's also a PrC in Lords of Madness that's quite good for an anti-abberation Druid - Abolisher. Hmm. The Abolisher is nice, but not quite what I'm looking for. My concept for the character is to slowly but surely become more and more like the things he's fighting. Eventually getting to the point of tapping into their homeworld. |
