Jun 22, 2009 1:45:20 I'm playing a Sha'ir (dragon magazine compendium) who's thematic is Prismatic/rainbow spells.

from 3rd-9th level I have a prismatic spell known. and have things like Rainbow blast and ray.

I've just finished the last level of Initate of the seven fold veil. /and/ I own all 7 veils of the item set from magic item compendium.

I'm looking for another PRC to go into but I don't want to give up any spell casting progression. Anyone got any suggestions?

I think you misread my post.

I have a 3rd level spell (prismatic mist)
I have a 4th level spell (Prismatic Touch) home brew.

Etc etc, all the way to 9th level spells.

I know I'm about to start a text vs table debate but Rainbow Servant?

Depends on what your DM says about CL/L

just checked out Rainbow Servant... yea, between flavor text, and what's actually done, I don't know what my DM would say. On top of that, it's not very rainbow like...it's just called that... but all in all there's nothing about it rainbow ish.. wish it was I'd take it..

Actually was talking to a friend last night and I'm thinking fate spinner.. that'll take me into epic levels in and of it's self..

Jun 22, 2009 18:14:50 The problem with Rainbow Servant is you wouldn't get it's capstone ability until epic levels. You can't take Initiate before level 10 due to skill requirements (12 ranks in several things), so that gets you all the way to level 17. Is 3 levels of rainbow servant really worth it? It also isn't a full caster advancment progression iirc.

Jun 23, 2009 20:16:35 fair enough on my last point, but my argument about only getting 3 levels in the class (or whatever other PrC is picked) still stands.

I'd say find one of those short & sweet caster PrCs.

Jun 24, 2009 19:59:14 that's why I mentioned fate spinner, it's a 5 level prc, full caster progression, and it's capstone ability in my opinion is fairly weak..
