Can anyone tell me the fundemental differences between the 2, and which one is superior?

Can anyone tell me the fundemental differences between the 2, and which one is superior? There are two versions of the Incantatrix prestige class, the older one in Magic of Faerûn is out of date and superseded with the newer version in Player's Guide to Faerûn. The newer version is more general, the older version focuses on abjuration.
