| #1cloerMay 06, 2009 13:28:20 | What are spells that can help me get defenses that act similar to the veils of the IotSFV, i know that there probably arent spells that powerfull, but im looking for spells that work when i'm attacked, karmic aura from complete mage and that series of spells are perfect examples of what im looking for. thx |

Prismatic Sphere? ;) |

| #8suzerainMay 06, 2009 22:21:09 | Aren't you not allowed to move someone through a Prismatic Sphere? You can't, normally, move it (it's static). So no, there's no restriction. edit: Unless there's a general rule about moving effects into an area. I don't know about that. However, telekinesis only works while you are in the sphere (since it blocks LoE). And I don't know if a rock is a valid target for the spell... it says "Effect: 10-ft.-radius sphere centered on you". And if that were possible, the question is whether you could enter the radius unscathed, since if "you" is the rock, it isn't you. Right? That gave me an idea. What happens if you cast a selective prismatic sphere? Could you cast through the sphere then? I'd think so. That'd be initiate-like defense, right? Only not as mobile... Edit2: Prismatic Sphere is an effect spell, not an area spell. Selective spell doesn't apply. A pitty. |
