Initiate of the Seven Veils build question

Apr 10, 2009 12:33:01 I'm looking at this Prc and I'm wondering what other Prc would work with this. two things to consider is I cant use Incantatrix as per my DM, and I dont want a 100% defensive build. I was thinking Conjur or Transmuter wizard. I've seen builds with MS and archmage, but with no Incantatrix not sure if this is still a good idea or not. I dont really care about needing to be 20/20 build, just as long as its fun. Thanks!

First of all is domain wizard allowed? If so be:

Wizard9/IotSV7/Archmage4

Otherwise, do whatever.

Abjurer3/MasterSpec7/IotSV7/MasterSpec3
Abjurer3/MasterSpec6/IotSV7/Archmage4
Conjurer3/MasterSpec6/IotSV7/Archmage4
Conjurer3/MasterSpec6/IotSV7/MasterSpec4

Heck, even do silly things like this if you want:
Bard4/Paladin(OfFreedom)2/AbjurantChampion4/SublimeChord1/AbjurantChampion1/InitiateOfTheSevenFoldVeil6/SublimeChord1/Spellsword1

(That last one has 16 BAB ;p)

Apr 10, 2009 15:54:40 I kind of thought most builds would have MS and archmage, I dont think Domain wizard is allowed, the DM doesn't like us to use many variants. thanks for the build ideas.

Apr 10, 2009 16:18:00 Yea, I kinda think that Master Specialist was created after wizard realized how stupid the prereqs for Archmage are. I mean, the 2 different Spell Focuses aren't terribly bad, but Skill Focus? Seriously? WTF!??!!! Thats the primary problem with most of the DMG PrCs. They have dumb prereqs because there weren't a whole lot of feats out at the time.

Thus, as long as you take 2 levels of Master Specialist, you get the stupid feat for free. Its a good thing.
