Alright kids, I'm working in a combat oriented rogue for my new campaign. The character is starting at 1st level and will quickly level up as we're getting double XP awards since we're a small group...here are some things I'd really like to get in my build...
  • Invisible Blade 10 - Primarily for the high BAB and the full SA progression.
  • Keep high BAB and as much SA as possible.
  • Integrate a few feats in the build that are thematic: Knifefighter (allows the use of a dagger in a grapple), Craven, Telling Blow, Two-weapon fighting
  • I don't really know how to go about this but, I'd like to keep the focus on Intelligence/Dexterity as much as possible

So far, I really haven't come up with much more than Rogue 3/Fighter 2/Invisible Blade 10/XX 5

Any additional input would be greatly appreciated. Especially, the placement of feats. FYI, all books/mags allowed and, obviously, web content. Stats are fairly high, (18, 18, 16, 12, 12, 10).

Thanks in advance,

The swashbuckler daring outlaw is the first thing that comes to mind. It has the high Int/Dex going for it, and mostly full BAB.

Can you play an LA race with savage progressions? A marrulurk or skulk could be interesting, and I think they can qualify for daring outlaw without actual rogue levels (I know the Marrulurk can; not sure about the skulk).

Also, how do you plan on actually pulling off the sneaks in higher levels? Dropping some Invisible Blade or Scarlet Corsair may be worthwhile.

Well, for sure Invisible Blade 10 (from the Waking Lands) is something that my DM has strongly pushed towards me and I REALLY like it. I've thought about going the Swordsage route...I could focus primarily on Dex, Intelligence and Wisdom. Intelligence for the skillpoints (which are already quite high), Dex for Attacks and Damage (Shadow Strike) and Wisdom for AC...that'll probably be the best route...Assassin's Stance for my SA and then I can pile up the Craven, Telling Blow, etc.

You could take Kung fu genius to get your intelligence modifier to AC instead of wisdom. That would eliminate the need for wisdom.

Per RAW, Kung Fu Genius, that would only work if I took levels in Monk. Unfortunately, it doesn't say that it would work for Swordsage. I might run that by my DM though and see what he thinks about it...

How about finishing off with the old standby of Master Thrower?
