Ponder this: Swordsage: Various wisdom bonuses, including armor and damage Druid: Wisdom based casting All good saves. Take Intuitive Attack for more crunchy goodness. However, the real fun starts when you realise that nothing stops you from using maneuvers while Wildshaped. Ain't no rules saying an owl can't perform Comet Throw. Nobody's said a wolf can't use Hand of Death. Did I miss something, or does this have potential for good fun? |
| #2ikildkennyDec 14, 2010 14:09:33 | first: for this to be REALLY awesome I would dip in 1 lvl of Fighter at lvl 1 on the swordsage side - gives you full BAB and Intuitive Attack @ lvl 1 as bonus feat (and thus frees up your regular feats for druid-stuff) second: correkt me if I'm wrong but don't use at least some of the Maneuvers an discipline-associated weapon e.g. shortsword?? if not ... awesome!! |
| #3cydriusDec 14, 2010 15:02:26 | Hmm... Well, taking that one level of fighter would really just give you +1 BAB, not full BAB. At least, according to how I understand gestalt. (At each level, you get the bigger BAB of either of the two classes.) And, yes, some maneuvers do. I'd focus on those that can be taken bare handed. (or Bear-Handed, if you catch my drift.) :P |

| #5ranger557Dec 18, 2010 1:12:22 | Druid//Swordsage sounds like a good combo, one time my friend suggested Monk//Druid because you could use your unarmed strike damage while in wildshape. Therefore, I think this would be a fun build to play with and maybe you should go the unarmed swordsage variant . Now your body is a weapon literally! Lmao and you can even do it in wildshape form as well. |
| #6cydriusDec 18, 2010 22:23:08 | The Unarmed Swordsage variant? Hm. Good idea. |
| #7boboteabagginsDec 23, 2010 20:01:44 | Unfortunately My DM has ruled that unarmed and natural attacks are two different things. Oh well, Still vicious, especially if you make a half crazed halfling. |
