Alright guys, this is just for fun. I would like to see if I can get together some Marvel lovers and a few DnD people who are good at optimization and build this armor. Do I have anyone on board with me?

Human Artificer/Renegade Mastermaker with his armor as an item familar (or legacy item). This is what I imagine it would look like, what do you think?

My apologies I should have clarified myself. I meant the construction of the suit itself with the D20 Mecha handbook.

Uh, dungeons & dragons have very little to do with d20 Mecha. Outside the d20 part, that is. Also, that's a relatively obscure book, but good luck.

*edit*

But how do I solve the icing problem?

I was under the impression that since this is the d20 optimization boards that it would encompass the d20 Mecha book.

It does, technically. However, you refer specifically to Dungeons and Dragons in the first post.
If I had d20 Mecha, I would've looked it over, I assure you.

1. Yeah, as an Item Familiar it's most of the way there already,
2. But, how do you solve the icing problem?
3. And, this thread was apparently supposed to be about d20 mecha book

Oh, and simple criteria for the armor:

- super strong and tough (heavy load around 80K lbs?)
- flight
- beam weapons (sonic, perhaps?)
- Sensors and intelligence.

If d20 mecha nets you a shopping list, just pick those and you're there, already...

Stark doesn't fly, the armor does; so it's clearly enchanted (permanently or with infusions).

Or it is mechanist armor that has been awakened and then has taken levels in warlock? Warlocks get DR, Eldritch Blast (I mean repulsors), can fly at will, and have many have some nice sensory boosting invocations.

Just make it a charmed mindslave and your set.

well, animate + permanency + awaken construct... but no, I think the core point is that the PC can BUILD an armor like that.
