Also is there any Prestige Classes for a sole Psion character that focuses on ranged casting go into (while still gaining Manifester levels and benefits)?
I have tried several search engines and wordings to find a Psion's Guide, many of the guides for other classes are on here. I really need help developing a Psion for a friend (he likes Psykers from Warhammer 40k), and this is probably one of the classes he would like.

There's also the psionics board here, which has FAQs and other resources available. Be advised that the "Psion" is not always the best choice for a psionic character; consider the wilder and ardent as well. All three classes tend to require some finesse in building, since they're not forgiving if you make poor power choices (especially on wilders) or poor mantle choices on ardents.

Define "ranged casting". There aren't a lot of psionic Prcs, and all but... one, I think, lose at least one manifester level in exchange for their class features. (Wizards learned how to design prestige classes and it shows here.) If you're talking about generic manifesting, oddly enough, the best generic manifester is pure psion. Every prestige class brings with it some specialization, and since manifesting takes place at a distance most of the time that's present in just about all of them. (The only unspecialized PRCs I know of are the full-manifesting anarchic initiate, which basically turns your psion into a wilder and is actually kind of broken if applied with a bit of intellect, and the metamind, which is so far behind a stock psion that even with its 10th level "infinite power points" capstone, a pure psion can still out-manifest them.)

"Unspecialized prestige class" is really a bit of an oxymoron.
