Is this a horrible idea?

I realize theurges are generally considered to be a bad idea, but I have an idea for a Cleric/War Mind/Psychic Theurge. This would be starting at ECL 10 for a game in a desert setting.

Race: Thinking either Elan or Human, using the bonus feat to grab Wild Talent. I consider the Elan mainly for the ability to spend a power point to not need food or water for 24 hours (useful in the desert).
Alignment:LN
Cleric Diety/Domains: Xan Yae, choosing War and Knowledge, which seems appropriate for a war mind and also give tangible benefits: the knowledge domain helps meet war mind's pre-reqs and war, of course, gives weapon focus.
Level by Level:
What I know so far: Cleric 5/War Mind 4/Psychic Theurge 1
Plans from there: Next level is definitely psychic theurge so I can get 4th level spells, including most importantly Divine Power. Beyond that, mainly divine power, possibly taking one more war mind level to get sweeping strike.
Available Sources (other things allowed with permission, but I'd like to not ask for too much): SRD, Tome of Battle, Sandstorm, Frostburn, Stormwrack, Players Handbook II, Complete Arcane, Complete Adventurer, Dragon Magic, Races of the Dragon, Tome of Magic, Races of Eberron, Eberron Campaign Setting, Book of Vile Darkness

Feats: Wild Talent, Practiced Manifester(War Mind); beyond that, not sure
Powers: Expansion, Inertial Armor, need a second level
Spells: I'm at a loss

So, what I'm looking for is general advice and recommendations for, ideally feats, powers and spells, but if there's a better way to arrange the levels, etc, I'm glad to hear that too.

Yes, that is a horrificly horrible idea. The 5th level of Warmind is the best, and you aren't even getting that. Warmind's manifesting abilities are pathetic, and you're giving up a huge portion of your cleric casting for them. So yeah, it couldn't be much worse.... unless you were a CW samurai or something. :P

You know, I read the title of this thread, and what came to mind was he answer "Probably."

It appears I was right.

Unless there are some heavy house rules on spells and items to enforce a desert theme why are you looking at elan for the ability to go without food and water when cleric has create water as a 0 level spell and a ring of sustenance costs 2.5k (not alot at lvl 10) and removes the need for food and reduces your sleep requirements.

Look. either go with Spell Casting or manifesting. Trying to combine the two, unless you have a way to gain full or almost full (-1 or -2, -3 in extreme cases), which, as far as I can tell is impossible short of geshalt, leads to sadness and a character not being their full potential. you don't get 9th level powers or spell, so much of your spellcasting endgame power is taken away.

Ardent I like, particularly if you take to 10th level alternate class feature. Combine that with the metaminds free manifesting (although you lose manifesting to do this, meh) and a 2 pp metapsionic feat, you can manifest a power (unagumented) with the meta for the low, low, cost of expending your psionic focus. Or you could just have the power be agumented 2 pp and skip the psionic focus.

Anyway, /ramble
