I was wondering if there was a way for a character to build booby traps that are effective in high levels (6-10)

In the DMG II there are some traps that require nothing more than a full action DC 30 Craft(trap making) (DC 20 if you take 10 rounds) and sometimes a survival check to scrounge up materials. the problem with these

What metamagic make spells into great last minute traps.

Earthbound Spell
Delay Spell
Repeat Spell

All metamagic feats you can use to create on the fly traps.

Trapsmith prestige class?

Which is from Dungeonscape

Not to be confused with Combat-Trapsmith which is from Complete Scoundrel.

Both classes are pretty decent in their own right actaully. Their was a build somewhere on these boards which used them both- Think it was the Stage Crew.

Also I've always liked the Scatter-trap spell myself from the SpC. :D

is there any other things that Craft (Trap-making) can make besides the booby traps in the DMG II

I was planning on making a guerrilla warriors for the party to fight.

And some of the traps in DMG I, too.

I'd say that the Trapsmith PrC is probably going to be better for you than the Combat Trapsmith for mundane traps... They can choose Fabricate to make mundane non-booby traps much more rapidly than normal (but, if you can, use both ).

If you scour the various adventure mods, you should find bunches of traps not in either of the two DMGs... Sorry I don't have specifics.
