Items and feats to optimize a spiked chain tripper gish ??

for feats i already have combat expertise, imp trip, exotic: spiked chain, comb reflexes, knock-down, robilar's..

and as far as items, the only things i know of is misc increasing strength items, and the sweeping (mic) enhancement, and liberal use of enlarge person.

anyone have any more ideas?

Nov 15, 2008 16:43:37 Search for 'Lockdown 2.0' in SHCOL. I think there may have already been an updated version of it in the BrilliantGameologists boards but it's for a different type of whatever that I don't remember.
Also, check out T_G's Spiked Chain fighters in 'Innovating Party Design Tactical Method etc' in SHCOL. It's on the second post where he posts the tactically-optimized party.

Lockdown explicitly ain't trip based. Here's an interesting (as in nobody else has brought it up for some reason for all the fapping about the class):

Human Factotum 3/ Cloistered Cleric 1/ Lion Totem, Whirling Frenzy Barbarian 1/ Chameleon 10/ Who cares after that 5

1) Combat Expertise
H) Improved Trip
3) Able Learner
Cloistered Cleric) Extend Spell (planning domain), extra turning(undeath domain), knowledge devotion(dropping the knowledge domain)
6) Extra Rage (y'know, cuz extra attacks are cool)
9) Persist spell
Chameleon bonus once you get decent enough divine casting to use it: DMM:Persist
12) Robilar's gambit (you do have serpent armor and persisted divine power at this point, right?)

That's just 3 minutes of work, so has room for some tweaking, but for all the factotum fapping going on in some threads someone needs to actually use the best ability in the class.

PS:
Int>Str=Wis>Con>Dex>Cha

Note: this only gets sixth level spells, but it gets both arcane and divine, so w/e. If you want a more traditional arcane or divine gish I can toss one up (they work better in the high teens due to casting). If you are going to stay low level I can toss you some other things (they won't be gishes due to lowish bab, but they are more effective in the 1-5 range than most crap people will give you on this board).

Basically:
What level range?
What type of casting is prefered?
What books are open?
What wealth do we have to work with?
