Hello community,

Lets get straight to the questions. I've been looking for about 3 hours trying to get the answers to questions i've had with no luck. So here they are:

1. A.) This involves BAB and extra attacks. I know that at BAB of +6 and every 5 after that up to 16 i get an extra attack. If im Multiclassing, do i use both Classes BAB to calculate if i get extra attacks, or do i add the BAB to that certain attack?

  • Example: Monk 4 BAB +3, Fighter 4 BAB +4. Would it be just +7 or +7/+2?

1. B.) I noticed that the monk's FoB number of attacks increase with his BAB extra attacks. Can i add the new value and/or extra attacks to the monk's FoB.

2.) This question is also for FoB. Two weapon rend lets you deal bonus damage if both attacks hits. So if i use FoB to hit both unarmed strikes 2 times, do i apply the feat twice. What i mean is if i use a right, left combination attack twice with FoB.

I thank you in advance for your answers.

Also, I'm playing D&D 3.5

1.a.  BAB is really just one number that is added up from all of your classes to determine the character's BAB.  THAT BAB is then used to determine itterative attacks.  You'll note that no PrCs list BAB like +6/+1 at any point; that is because the +6 simply adds to the rest of the character's BAB and itterative attacks are determined from there.

I don't blame you for finding that one a bit confusing.  Sometimes I think they would have been better off, and also saved some space, by just listing the classes BAB having a different section telling you how to determine itterative attacks based on BAB.

1.b.  With the Monk's Flurry of Blows you should add the BAB from other classes to the line from the monk class and figure the itterative attacks from there.  You would NOT gain additional extra attacks by increasing BAB with other classes.  EX.  Monk Monk5/Fighter6;  BAB +10;  Full Attack +10/+5; Flurry +8/+8/+3 (NOT +8/+8/+8/+3 for moving 6 lines up the Flurry list or +10/+10/+10/+5 for finding BAB and then moving over to the Flurry line.)

2.  I should look up two-weapon rend but if it requires the use of two-weapon then Flurry of Blows should not trigger it.  Even if it is producing 'extra' attacks they are all a result of the Flurry ability and not because you are dual-wielding two weapons.

Steven did a great job answering. I'll provide my own answers (you'll see that they overlap).
