| #1vitellioApr 07, 2009 15:09:55 | Lately, I've worked on a character for a PbF. It's Keeplo "Dragonkin" Drakesniff, Proud Paladin of Bahamut and Sorcerer Supreme. He is a Kobold Half-Dragon(silver)(buy-back to 0) Paladin 2/Sorcerer 4/Spellsword 1/Abjurant Champion 5/Sacred Exorcist 8, the classic sorcadin build, with those feats: Feats: 1) Power Attack 3) Draconic Reservoir 6) Combat Casting 9) Arcane Strike 12) Practiced Spellcaster(Sorcerer) 15) Divine Might 18) Law Devotion With those rituals, from the Races of Dragon(see the web enhancement for the second) Rituals: Draconic Rite of Passage Greater Draconic Rite of Passage Now, i'm rather baffled for the spell-list. Up to now, I've compiled this list. SC=Spell Compendium CM=Complete Mage PHBII=Player's Handbook II 0° Prestidigitation Detect Magic Amanuensis(SC) Repair Minor Damage(SC) Silent Portal Caltrops(SC) Light Mage Hand Message 1° Shield Protection from Evil Nerveskitter(SC) Ectoplasmic Armor(SC) Resinous Tar(CM) 2° Wraithstrike(SC) Heart of Air(CM) Glitterdust Scintillating Scales(SC) Heroics(SC) 3° Heart of Water(CM) Mage's Armor, Greater(SC) Dragonskin(SC) Haste Dimensional Anchor 4° Heart of Earth(CM) Ray Deflection(SC) Dimension Door 5° Heart of Fire(CM) Dimension Shuffle(PHBII) Blink, Greater(SC) Dragonsight(SC) 6° Anticipate Teleportation, Greater(SC) Gemjump(SC) Interplanar Telepatic Bond(SC) 7° Elemental Body(SC) Bite of the Werebear(SC) Teleport, greater 8° Mind Blank Celerity, Greater(PHBII) Veil of Undeath(SC) 9° Time Stop Shapechange With the following runestaves as a complement: Runestaff of Evocation: Runestaff of the Undead Slayer: Runestaff of the Architect Runestaff(Plane Shift, Greater) Runestaff of Vision Now, i'm asking you: What can i substitute to optimize the list? Should I change anything else on the feats selection? |

Greater Mighty Wallop (3rd RotD)-Only useful for bludgeoning weapons, but hella useful if you want to use one. If you can afford the feat, EWP-Goliath Greathammer is the most optimal small-sized bludgeoner I've found. Arcane Spellsurge (7th DrMag)-Personal buff that reduces the casting time for all arcane spells by one category. Makes your metamagic enhanced spells or full-round spells 1 std instead, and your standard spells swift. Energy Immunity (7th SpC)-24hr duration, get's doubled automatically by Abjurant Champion. That means for 2 7th slots/day, you are immune to 4 energy types. Combine with your immunity from Half-dragon, and you're all set on all five. If I were you, I would avoid the Half-dragon template and instead go Dragonwrought (changes type to dragon) with the Dragonblood Sorcerer racial ACF's (grants Draconic Heritage as a bonus feat). But for that to work, you HAVE to take Sorcerer as your first level. I'd also consider taking Arcane Disciple or Draconic Legacy in order to increase your spells known (if you have the option and there are good spells to be had with your available choices). |
